https://boxrec.com/en/box-pro/237842 43 year old De Mori still picking off no-name bums with barely a win to their names.
Very strange career De Mori has had. Lucas Browne v De Mori would be a fair fight to make now that both are in their 40's.
Yep Wyllie is a decent fighter and by proxy it shows that Kambosos still has enough left in the tank for some domestic match ups. I am surprised that Liam Wilson is still draining himself to 130 I really think that Kambosos Wilson would be a good fight even at a catch weight of 138 or something like that.
They sparred together years ago and it seems De Mori saw and felt enough to convince himself not to engage Browne in a real contest. These days they are both so cooked it might even be competitive but my money would still be on Browne.
I don’t mind the Ng fight. That’s pretty decent. Floyd Masson is also facing a 7-2 Indian Cruiser who Ricky Esilva stopped in a couple of rounds a few years ago. The rest of it looks decidedly average IMO. Paro’s opponent couldn’t punch a bus ticket so here’s hoping Liam gets him out of there in style.
Interesting to see that Clay Waterman, Jason Whatley (sp?) and Ben Horn will be featured on Anthony Mundine's Bare-Knuckle show in Brisbane next month.
Disappointed to hear Waterman has jumped across but I guess we will have to wait and see if this is a ground floor opportunity into something that really kicks off or doesn't. Aussies love sport and they love a good blue. So who knows how this will play out?
With Nikita Tszyu having been out so long with his damaged mitt, word is they now want to keep him busy and fight twice more this year. There's a possibility it will be Brock Jarvis in October, followed by Zerafa in December.
Brock is staying active as well fighting next month. Nikita v Brock will probably be a tear up for however long it lasts.
Jarvis' fight with Ken Aitken is down for September 18th. If that fight goes ahead, unless Jarvis gets Aitken outa there in real quick time, it doesn't leave much time to fight Nikita any time soon. Perhaps Zerafa December-ish is plan A and if that doesn't come off, plan B is Jarvis?
Well for Nikita's sake I hope Jarvis is first I reckon he needs at least one more hit out before Zerafa but then again part of me thinks enough foreplay just make the fight lol.
A Zerafa fight for Nikita still worries me. Particularly only one fight after a year long layoff. l'd prefer he fights Jarvis first too.
Kiwi born referee Bruce McTavish, who refereed Jeff Fenech's first world title fight against Shingaki, has passed away aged 84. McTavish refereed in total 438 fights. RIP.
