Itauma's manager Francis Warren has named Anderson as a potential next Opponent.

Anderson ran away from Miller. No way would he fight Itauma.

 

Adaleye would brutally KO Charles Martin. That dude is a glorified journeyman

 

I think Anderson may be done as a legit contender, he was looking pretty fat in a recent a video and unless something changes and he finds some drive and fire I don't think he will trouble anyone at the top.

He probably still has enough money and pride to get KO'd by Itauma, so I don't see this fight happening atm, maybe a few years down the line he will sell what remains of his name value.

A shame because Anderson was looking decent and we need more good American heavyweights.

 

Charles Martin didn't get outboxed badly by Sokolowski.

Watch that fight if you haven't. Sokolowski is a part timer at best. Got covered up well just like Sheeraz V Skeete.

Adeleye has a bit of power but thats it, he's honestly not good at all.

 

Anderson never was a legit contender. He was a quintessential hypejob. TO THIS DAY no one can tell me what exactly it is that he supposedly does well.

 

Sokolowski is underrated. He got robbed against Adayele and gave Kabayel problems. Martin lost to Kownacki

 

TBF any reasonable gatekeeper would make a good fight - Bakole or Ajagba would do the job fine as well, as would Makh or Sanchez.

Different strengths and weaknesses between them all, but each would tell us something.

 

No way would they put him in with Ajagba. Quick feet and big power, against a guy with an unproven chin?

 

Makhmudov isn't on the levels of the aforementioned. If Chisora, Miller, Bakole, Hrgovic, Sanchez or Ajagba are getekeepers, then Makh can not be named gatekeeper. Zero boxing skills. Got destroyed quickly by Kabayel. Got absolutely dominated by Vianello, lost every round and got stopped. Ajagba had a razor close fight vs Vianello, and Richard Torrez beat him. Makhmudov doesn't belong to top-30, let alone top-15

Anderson is tough and can give a little bit of a fight.

It's a decent step. Whyte was shot to pieces and offered nothing.

Too early still for ituama to fight a Bakole level danger although out of shape Bakole would get chinned.

 

This is what? The fourth? Fifth? Potential opponent they've named for Itauma since the Whyte fight a couple of weeks ago?
Are they keeping his name in the press? Fishing for interest in fights?
They haven't said they've made an offer to any of these guys, or that they're even in discussions, just... "Oh maybe he should figh such-and-such".
What's the point.

 

Anderson is a better opponent that Whyte, and better than most of the names mentioned (Pulev!??)
I think Hrgovic or Wardley should be Itauma's next opponent. I don't think they're considering Wardley at all thoigh.
Anderson is an okay opponent though. I just doubt Anderson's confidence at the moment.

 

TBF I don't rate Makh highly - at most he's a low level gatekeeper.

 

Yeah Anderson would be a perfect fit for Itaumas progression, but he will never take such a bout

 

What always sticks in my head is that video of Anderson talking with Roy Jones in the gym and he was talking about the pressure, he was practically crying. Then there was the whole police car chase incident. Very fragile. Despite his physical gifts he hasnt got the heart or mentality to make it. Itauma would steam roll him
