Vitali easily don't see much Holyfield can do here. He was never the best at dealing with good jabs and Vitali is one of the best at fighting at range and maintaining distance.
Holyfield lasted a lot longer against Lewis than Vitali though. Vitali doesn't take that kind of aggression well and the pressure Holyfield brings.
Vitali performed much better against Lewis. Holyfield is also not good at pressuring people when he can’t counter.
Vitali got stopped by Lewis in 6, Holyfield went 24 Rounds with Lewis. It proves Holyfield as the more durable boxer as the round went.
Vitali wins and anybody who thinks otherwise needs to sit down and really think about this. Vitali feeds just fine off of aggression and he could deal with Holyfield in any number of ways. Bringing up the Lewis fight as a 'gotcha' means that either the commenter didn't watch Klitschko's fight with Lewis or they imagine that Holyfield's skin can't be ripped open by laces which is a laugh. Vitali was ringing Lewis like a bell until the gruesome cuts became a factor. Vitali's sheer size + skills do not bode well for Evander.
Yeah but Vitali dominated Lewis in the first 2 rounds, had Lewis out on his feet at the end of round 2 and had a back-and-forth inside war with him until his face could no longer handle the cuts. Full credit to Lewis for winning but it was a really tough night for him. Holyfield on the other hand got dominated in the first match, did better but still decisively lost the rematch in a fight where Lewis was in full control yet again.
Holyfield was better , he would win. It's that simple. Bowe, Buster , Foreman, Pinky and Holmes had better jabs than Vitali. Brunos used the jab more efficiently than Vitali against a primer Lewis. Picking Vitali is like picking Froch to beat Ward. Styles make fights.
