Around the 4:10 mark Brewster starts talking about how he calls Mosley “Mighty Mouse” because Shane was stronger than him at everything including bench press, squats, etc.

That seems wild to me. Brewster was so much bigger and stronger looking than Mosley as heavyweight champ. Shane must put up some very impressive numbers in the gym. Just found it interesting and thought I’d share.

Mosley was a real piece of work, and it's not the first time I've heard really curious things about it, p4p. I can't remember which guy but a name trainer who trained some big dudes said something like "Biggest left hook to the body I ever caught was from Shane Mosley, not a heavyweight." I might be completely misremembering but I think that's close. P4P incredibly strong and incredibly durable human being.

Size isn't everything in strength. It's years spent training, really. A 160lbs guy who's been lifting weights - while enhanced, especially - for 10 years should absolutely be stronger than a 220lbs guy who's been lifting for 3 or 4 for example.

Plus, Mosely was one of those guys who was freakishly good at all athletic endeavours. Doesn't surprise me at all he can lift some serious weight.

Mosley's claimed benchpress (315 lbs; 350 lbs or other numbers that were mentioned in different sources) was never confirmed on video. I don't believe it. For someone who isn't a powerlifter, has long arms and weighs around 150-155 lbs these numbers are almost unachievable.

Deontay Wilder benched 310 lbs when he was around 230 (Fury III) and at the peak of his strength. Butt in the air, no pause.

Rahman at least has confirmed on video 440 lbs benchpress (while he is over 300 lbs himself, twice as big as Mosley). And Rahman is probably the stongest benchpresser in boxing

His best results certainly come from the time He was at 154 - and He was probably walking and training at 170 pounds and higher at the time.
I heard before about Shane lifting impressive numbers, I think HBO was showing some clips too since I remember seeing him squat. I think it's believable, even if He might've rounded up the number upwards and 315 is more accurate than 350 ).

I saw interview with Shane recently when He said that lifting made him worse as a fighter, by the way.

I spotted a guy in the gym who only weighed about 185/190 who repped 405 on bench press 8-10 times. And, quite frankly, gun to his head, he probably could have done more. It wouldn't shock me if Mosley could bench 350 for a single. I am pretty sure Terry Norris was in that range, as well.

As for Deontay, this video shows how shockingly weak he was for his size. He didn't successfully lift this weight. His spotters were helping him. No way anybody would call this a legit lifting of 310. This is why even a fat Tyson Fury was able to rag doll him around the ring.

Mosley participated in that sports all stars where people from different sports competed against each other in various sports and he finished second to last.

As for lifting a lot weight that doesn't surprise me cause his father was a body builder so he probably was doing that since he was very young.

Those are fake weights. He says so in the comments when someone calls him out on it. He says they are "Jakes weights" as in the fake weights Jake Paul was using when he wore that fat suit and benched.

What, size isn't everything in strength?

A smaller man can lift more than a heavier man if he does more weight training?

A fighter who weighs less can be physically stronger?!?

What is this blasphemy???? According to the genius experts on this forum, if a boxer is 20-30 lbs lighter, he MUST be physically weaker and would get ragdolled by a taller heavier man...!!

Exactly correct. I know wrestlers that competed at lower weight divisions that can seriously throw some heavy weights. Regarding boxers, Terry Norris was notorious for being strong as hell in the weight room.
