Big fight? Intrigued to see who it will be. Not expecting too much considering he just had a painful defeat last time out, so IMO a weak gatekeeper would be understandable, eg Wallin, Hughie Fury, Gassiev.
Chisora would make a lot of sense. He's been disparaging Dubois since the Usyk fight, calling him a quitter (which is not fair, Dubois didn't quit, he just lost to a better fighter).
Fury. But Fury would duck it, using the retired excuse to duck until he can get a 2nd rematch against a 38 year old.
I honestly believe Fury is retired. He isn't getting another go at Usyk, he don't want Joshua, and he has said that Ituama is the future and would beat Usyk, which I believe is admitting that Ituama would beat him. He won't fight his buddy Parker, can't fight Wilder or Chisora again...were does he go, exactly?
If so, good for him. He's made a lot of money and has had some great individual fights, even the Usyk ones. If he's hedging for a (another) trilogy that few actually want, that'd be pretty annoying. I'm down on him still from the post-Vlad situation that dragged out.
Why not a four month tour, Sep vs Chisora IV, Oct vs Cunningham II, Nov vs McDermott III and Dec Wilder IV.
Makabu has two fights scheduled, one on September 5 against someone named Dodzi Kemeh, and then a TBA on October 30.
