Could Braddock (Baer fight) have beaten Jack (Tunney 1) ? Braddock was no Gene Tunney but could he have beaten Dempsey over 10 rounds?
Dempsey preferred ten rounders at that point and Braddock went 8 against Louis. Braddock would get the decision.
I think Braddock gets a decision, but it's perhaps a little closer on the cards. He'd do what gene did, survive the early storm and then gain confidence as he realises Dempsey s lay off has affected Dempsey.
Probably not at this stage, given that Dempsey still had enough left to beat Sharkey, but not very long after.
He might be a bit static, but I think JB had a really steady, accurate jab and he might have had a lot of success. He's a very tough man.
Two tough Irishman, I'll go with Dempsey he'd clearly be the fan favorite and his punches were much heavier. Dempsey would also try much harder than Baer did in their bout. Dempsey by UD In a good scrap.
