Ugh...salt on the wound... not only was González gracious to his opponent in defeat, but during the downtime between fights where they just leave the hard cam on the now-empty ring, you can see him in the background walking row by row and hugging and thanking every loved one and fan that came to cheer him on.

Édgar Eden Palacios Cruz vs. Jesús Arturo Acosta Zazueta, 6 rounds @ welterweight

 

Palacios is the six foot southpaw in black & white, a 28 year old local boy... he's 11-3-1, and his blemishes all came in his sophomore year. Since then he's on an eight win streak.

Acosta in the red is experienced but one loss away from a .500 record at 24-25-2. He's also a blown-up bantamweight.

 

118 to 147 is quite a climb!
