They both quit when they fought their best opponent. It’s hardly opinion.

Do you ever stop spewing out garbage ? Liston sustained a crippling shoulder injury against Ali
and Foreman was stopped simply because he ran out of gas after failing to pace himself properly in
    the Ali fight.
    Neither of these guys quit.

Look up Rummy's Corner where Rummy questions the great Emanual Steward about Sonny Liston.
    It's all there.

Interestingly, there is no record of Liston ever having had shoulder surgery and Foreman magically rose right as the ref reached ten.

You can accuse, but you can't disprove.

    Wlad stops both of them.

I'm not convinced Liston has the chin or the size to hang with Wlad, even though he is technically better than Foreman. Foreman is bigger than Liston and with a better chin but his technique is not good for taking on the bigger technician. What especially counts against him is his slow speed and tendency to throw looping punches. Wlad's faster straighter punches will be reaching the target first all night long.

Link me, I still think you've misinterpretted it, but ES did grow up when Liston was champ so he may have rose tinted glasses

He insists on doing that. An appeal to authority is only a logical fallacy if the authority cited isn't an authority in his or her field or if their bias affects their opinion to the point of it being worthless, i.e. if Brad Pitt said Manny Pacquiao is the greatest pound for pound boxer that would be an improper appeal to authority because Brad has no knowledge of boxing beyond that of the average layperson. If someone cited Melania Trump as saying Donald Trump is the greatest president that would be an improper appeal to authority because she's obviously biased. Don't take the word of a random internet poster. Ask Chat GPT.

You're unfortunately engaged in an exchange with people who regularly self-own and will never have the subjective cognizance to realize that they continuously do so.

They're essentially illiterate in reasoning and logic, exhibiting a level of ignorance too extreme to progress beyond.

Of course the opinion of a legendary trainer is worthy of consideration.
