Give me an actual technical breakdown what does Liston do better then someone like Wlad or Usyk. What are his strengths and weaknesses. So far all you've given me is expert opinion that's he great without explaining the WHY

Oh really ? Perhaps you have to yet to read my rebuttal to your very flawed opinion that Sonny Liston
couldn't lay a glove on Wlad ? Ok... here we go again......Samuel Peter. Please try to keep up.

Oh for heaven's sake.....ok look at Sonny's head movement during the first Cleveland Williams fight. That is just one facet of Liston's skills.
Sonny, when he had to be,was a superb technician.

Who is my group? Or are you just imagining said "group"?

More to the point, why are you projecting this imagined group on to me?

(Sorry, did you just post: "Nice projection!"???)

Hate to break this to you,but Samuel Peter knocked Wlad down three times.Perhaps you should take a look
    at their first fight.

You make a claim with 0 evidence. Show me evidence i don't see anything special besides him taking a bunch of punches and then overpowering an obviously overmatched opponent

You weren't making a great deal of sense to begin with.
Now, I suspect, even you don't know what your on about. (I know I don't)

How about an actual technical breakdown on why Liston was good fighting smaller guys who stood in front of him - not SHWs who were faster and could fight him at range?

That was the basis for why you thought Liston was being overrated, yes?

I explained my reasoning now its on the other side to explain why I'm wrong. So far the evidence for the contrary seems a bit lacking but feel free to chime in (not like you actually can but I welcome the attemp).

Liston has far better stamina then Wlad and a better Jab then both. Wlads defense is vastly superior though. The Peters fight does make a strong case for Liston though…but Liston may get frustrated getting hit w Wlad bombs.

Oh my word, are you seriously denying the exemplary head movement shown by Liston
in the first Williams fight ? Seriously ?

I honestly don’t know. Both George Foreman and Sonny Liston had more than enough power to knockout Wladimir Klitschko. But it only matters if they can land with efficacy and at the right time. Wlad got increasingly harder to hit flush as his skill and strategy evolved over time under the instruction of Manny Steward. It was one of those extremely rare cases where a fighter might have been better at 37 than he was at 27.

I can agree with stamina but don't see the jab at all. Wlad has an excellent Jab and uses it well to both set up his offense and also control his opponents. Its super accurate and he sets it up well. Liston mostly just spams it abusing the fact he has a huge reach but when he doesn't, like against Ali, his jab isn't nearly as effective.

Not really Wlad improved a lot after that fight as shown by the second fight. Plus Peters is much bigger then Liston and probably punches just as if not harder.
