Because he is scared of getting whooped. Its not complicated. Biggest duck in history also.

Because Benavidez is a natural cruiserweight if not a heavyweight. It's not fair to match a 6'2'' giant with a 5'7'' super middleweight.

No old school boxing fan would really believe that nonsense. Its weight not height divisions. Callum Smith was taller than Benavidez anyway.

He didn't look like a giant next to Gvozdyk or Morrel.

The momentum is bigger when you're taller and have longer limbs. And they're same weight on weigh-in day, not on fight day.

    Hmm, is it?

Canelo's already gone up a division higher than arguably he should given his natural size - and has fought plenty of guys along the way that a natural duck wouldn't... Plenty of controversy along the way, for sure, but in context not the most heinous swerve we've ever seen.

Besides - if avoiding someone who's very likely to beat you is a huge duck...

Canelo is the cashcow of the two - wouldn't a bigger duck be, for example, a mediocre earner running away from a cashcow who'd be very likely to beat them (eg: Wilder running from Joshua)?

Or if ducking a bigger, naturally heavier guy who has a reach advantage is such a shameful duck, is ducking someone smaller, naturally lighter with less reach for years to try and age them out worse (eg: Floyd/Pac or Fury/Usyk)?

Or what about guys ducking rematches when they've won as the underdog? They already know they can win, at least on the right night, but want nothing to do with having to prove it wasn't a fluke (Fury with Wlad, for example).

I get it's hyperbole... Just... As ducks go, I can't help thinking it's not the worst?

Some of y'all get a WiFi connection and just say anything. This thread is about Canelo and David.....yet your false sense of reality has caused you to mention something as goofy as you did......

Boots has done nothing to be ducked by anyone. And what makes your comment sound even more clueless is that Boots' camp has turned down 2 official offers to face Crawford....one came from the WBO sanctioning body in which they announced to the public that Ennis camp wasn't interested in begining negotiations with Crawford.

Bozy Ennis, the trainer/father, confirmed exactly why they turned down the offers. Stated they were being loyal to Showtime. Ironically, being that Crawford was a free agent at the time, he could have fought on Showtime...... Funny part is, that's exactly what Crawford did in his very next fight vs Spence.
