Crawford can come in under the mandated 168 pounds at whatever weight he wants. Whether it’s 155, 148 ,151 or 162..

you also did not factor Errol Spence not fighting for 2 years because of Covid. He came in like a skeleton Ala Oscar against Pacquiao when he fought Crawford.

I’m gonna go with 161-162 at the weigh in, at which Crawford will come in at.

Crawford is going to get on his bicycle, it’s a matter of which round.. I’m all for it. It’s boxing.

There’s a reason Clenelo is less than a two to one favorite, bettors and fight fans think he’s ripe for an upset. This same Clenelo was a more than 6 to 1 favorite to beat Bivol, which I thought was a total joke and I wish I laid some serious lumber on those odds because I thought Bivol was going to beat him.

Seconded! Same opinion here! Though I can excuse myself not betting on it, since canelo's judges are capable of anything

Man, I seriously underestimated Bivol back then. I was absolutely certain that he would let Canelo walk over him.

Bivol has a tendency to simply cover up at times, especially when pushed against the ropes. He covers up, blocks whatever he can, and then he finally fires back when its his turn.
Well, turns out he only did so because of the level of opposition he was facing. Suddenly hes turning Canelo whenever he needs to, and he knows how to get off of the ropes. Showed the same against Beterbiev.

I will die on the hill that Canelo was not at his best on that night, and he gassed quickly because of his stupid vegan diet. And I am pretty certain that Canelo could have won a rematch.
But, at the same time I am not too sure if Bivol even gave it his all that night, like he did against Beterbiev.

I was heavily backing Canelo here but some posters have put up good arguments for Crawford. Watching him again, I kind of see what they mean. The guy definitely has the skills, and a lot of speed. Speed has been Canelo's bugbear for a long time and he has definitely slowed down lately as he has aged.

What makes me think Canelo will still win (though perhaps not easily) is that Crawford looks to exchange with his opponents. Canelo is tanky AF and hits harder than anybody Crawford ever met. He's not the guy to try to beat up. Crawford will have to do something new to win here imho.

1..............No they CAN NOT...... a fighter can not come in weighing whatever they want under the weight limit. It's silly to suggest it and the fact you are arguing let's me know that I'm wasting my time talking to you about this sport. Name one fight in which the boxers weighed in with over a 10lb difference.....excluding heavyweights.........Wow....dude you need to read more. The rules are available for everyone.

2..............Regarding EJ.....why the hell would I factor in the pandemic..... THE ENTIRE WORLD had to deal with the pandemic. That wasn't a solo issue for Errol. He fought Danny Garcia at the end of 2020... In 2021, he was being chased by a certain WBO welterweight title holder that he refused to acknowledge as a threat... That same champion attempted to negotiate a fight with Manny Pacquiao (another fighter who avoided Crawford). The negotiations fell through because Manny wanted $28M to fight, which was agreed upon by Top Rank, then the next week, Manny's camp wanted $40M, which was extremely steep being that boxers were fighting in the bubble at the time. NO AUDIENCE. Manny then agreed to fight Errol for $15M.......yea, $15M........Errol got punched in the eye by his sparring partner late in camp and dropped out, thus Ugas stepped in and beat Manny. Errol got healthy and fought Ugas to gain his 3rd title. Fought Crawford the following year. Stop coming up with excuses. They don't work here.

3..............Crawford's last public weigh in about a couple weeks ago, he was north of 190lbs. Saw him last week standing next to Houston Alexander (old MMA fighter current bare knuckle boxer) at his send off. Crawford didn't look drastically smaller and Houston is a light heavyweight competing these days. I wouldn't be surprised if he comes to the weigh in bigger than Canelo. We all know that Canelo will hydrate 25-30lbs on fight night like he did vs Amir Khan.

4..............Crawford has never been on his bicycle vs any opponent. But you are more than welcome to have high hopes.

CLENelo never beats Bivol, unless the corrupt judges help him

I believe he can come in under, if he steps on the scales with **** in his pockets, that’s allowed unless they stopped that method

Whatever he has to do to be within the limit he can do. I've seen fighters weigh in with jewelry on. I've seen a fighter have a his entire sweatsuit on with headphones and bag. But the rule will not allow someone who weighs under the legal limit of the previous division to fight for a title at the above division. Let alone weighing 2 divisions smaller as this poster was suggesting.

Other than a heavyweight fight, we will never see a drastically gaped weight difference in a title fight. That's extremely dangerous for the smaller fighter. As talented as Inuoe is, can you imagine him having to get in the ring and compete for a welterweight title vs Jaron Ennis

I didn't say he would, I said he could. There were two later rounds in which he made minor adjustments, and showed that with a better gameplan he could get the win. Also, I think his stamina was a big reason for Bivol´s dominance.

How do people believe this ****? Crawford, the WW, who couldn't run Madrimov into anything is supposed to make Canelo, the guy whose fight Floyd, Bivol, and GGG, run into shots?

Buds power will not phase Canelo nor will his speed. Canelo is going to win a fight that closely resembles Charlo. Bud might try to win more and land some shots before he gets KO'd like Fury did Wilder in fight 3.
