Those points you are make are all irrelevant.

It was the biggest fight to make in the entire sport.
    Canelo's most lucrative fight.
Most people thought he was ducking
David was the clear number 1 contender and mando.
Canelo had run out of other options.

Despite all the above, he refused to fight him for YEARS. Show me a bigger duck all things considered. Its actually not even close.

Bowe/Lewis was not as big a duck because that wasn't the biggest fight in the sport to make, and that fight was actually set to happen after Bowe dropped his belt, but Lewis got knocked out by Mccall and the fight was derailed.

So it could only be practical if Canelo was paid the biggest purse in boxing history? lol! Heard of the term 'pricing yourself out'?

Why is it so hard to understand that if Benavidez makes weight, who gives a crap? Are you not aware Canelo spent most of his career outweighing opponents on fight night by large margins?

We all understand that Canelo is afraid to fight David Benavidez. You’re not even contesting that, your whole argument is basically that he should be afraid of him because he’s big. Canelo is still an all-time great, but this is a stain on his legacy. He confirmed lost his duck card.

Whenever his legacy is brought up there will always be that one guy going “What about Benavidez”, and you’ll never have any real answer for them just like you don’t right now.

Not to mention, look at track records:

Crawford - fought Porter, Spence, now Canelo

Boots - Karen, Karen, Stantinnitis, and now another nobody at 154

Boots DUCKED Bud. Boots DUCKED Vergil. Boots DUCKED Haney. Hell, I think Boots DUCKED Norman Jr too

Boots would kill Haney and Norman lol. Karen was mandatory and Boots was getting too big for 147. Undisputed 154 is the goal, you will see Vergil get shellshocked next year. Another Roiman Villa

Canelo has fought Mayweather, Golovkin x3, Bivol, Lara, Jacobs, and Kovalev. He's not perfect by any means and is almost certainly juicing, but he's definitely not a cherry picker. I'm not sure how this narrative ever gained momentum. Look at who Canelo had fought by the time he hit 28, compared to the likes of Boots and Shakur. Shakur fought an electrician the fight before last, and Boots' best wins are against Euro gatekeepers.

It's too soon for Norman now, but in a couple of years, it wouldn't surprise me if he beats Boots; he's improving significantly with every fight, while Boots goes over the same old ground against Euro gatekeepers and B-rate cannon fodder. Ennis has woeful defence, sits and admires his own work, and has done nothing against anyone even remotely near the elite level to suggest that he beats Ortiz in that manner. If they ever fight, my money is going to be on Ortiz. Madrimov would give Ennis nightmares, never mind Ortiz.

You'll lose your money. Ortiz is tailor made for Boots.

He said he will fight Benavidez if the salary is right. You want him to fight a cruiserweight, you should pay him $200M as he demands.
