Wilder wants to fight for 10 more years

I don't like hearing this bile toward Wilder. He's a bit of a bellend about boxing, but isn't he a good dude in his personal life? A devoted father, that kind of thing?

He should retire. He's earned enough to just enjoy raising his kids, preserve his health. He doesn't need boxing anymore. If he wants to stay busy, volunteer at a local boxing gym in a low income neighborhood, help train kids. Or see if he could volunteer to work in a prison boxing program. Plenty of positive things he could do around boxing that don't involve him getting knocked out anymore.

 

Every time you bump a Wilder thread you contribute to keeping Wilder relevant.

 

Yet you and others just can't stop talking about him, then and now.

When Wilder held that belt he was close enough to the most talked about fighter on this forum. Thread after thread after thread. People knew who he was alright and they just couldn't stop talking about him.

 

Yes I can remember that well enough,like you say at one time for a while he was practically the poster boy on here .

Meanwhile AJ is mid-30s and has had enough because he can't dominate anymore, even though he could still win plenty of fights.

Having just realized that he actually is 39, I cannot believe he is actually 39. Because then how old would that make me? That's a rhetorical question. This is a bad situation. Because of numbers and things. I don't like it. I don't like the odds. I don't think the coach should put us in. I don't think every rhyme has a reason or every thread has a happy ending. I don't think that. I don't think that at all and yet there is hope. Hope is that thing inside of us that they can't take away. They can take our lives but they can never take our freedom, unless they lock us up, but even then, the hope will still be in there, somewhere, even if we're forced to do all of their accounting. You can launder your shirts and trousers and undergarments but you can also launder a cool million. Want to live the life of a millionaire? Want to say you'd be a millionaire if only you hadn't have spent all the money it'd take to make you a millionaire? Women? Well, googly moogly, women. We can hope you write our mothers, write them, see, write them and tell them the shape we're in. Tell them to pray for us, yeah? Pray to God to forgive us all of our sins. That's what I say. Wilder. He just gets wilder and wilder. Just like life, see? Life gets so damn wild you think you're rucking one minute and the next you're KO'ing some skinny troll in a gym somewhere with the hammer of the gods.

 

The main page of this World Boxing forum used to be dominated by Wilder threads. Much like it was more recently dominated by Fury threads.

 

He could do something like Louis did, instead of bum of the month, have bum of the year. Really do see him fighting more than twice a year.
