    He's my all-time great as far as moustaches, unfortunately that was about all that Pierre had. A heavy bag with a moustache.

    That was in training leading up to the Holmes fight and supposedly he grew it because Jeff Sims cut Ali's lip during a sparring session. he shaved it off for the Holmes fight, not that it would have helped him.

    Marvin Johnson had that Civil war era moustache connected to sideburns ala General Ambrose Burnside.

    Larry Holmes’ had a stache that always looked like it was frozen at the early growing in stage. Wispy might be the word for it.

    Ali rocked a respectable stache on the rare occasions he grew one - but he never took them into the ring of course.
