I've thought so for several years, but he kind of got frozen out from big fights until challenging Scull last year (I don't recommend seeking out that one, unless you're in need of a sleeping aid... it set the CompuBox record for the least combined punches attempted in a 12-round bout at 445 ).

Might be starting to exit his prime just as the opportunities roll in.

 

I'm excited to keep tracking Wyatt Sanford's progress. His opponent today is another toughie who's never been stopped or dropped, like his last one.

As it happens, both tonight's opponent Semjon Kamanin and the one who took Sanford the distance in June, Mark Andrejev - both hail from Estonia. Guess they breed 'em hardy on the other side of the Gulf of Finland.

 

Yep. He blew out his first two opponents inside a round, so I think a minor adjustment was made in his matchmaking to get him guys who at least are more durable so he can gets rounds in.

 

Sanford is the curtain-jerker tonight...
