Floyd Mayweather and Mike Tyson agree to exhibition match according to some erroneous sources

This is low key a slap in the face for Roy Jones because it looked like he wanted that fight.

 

An absolute joke and disgraceful easy payday for both has beens but is anyone really that shocked at this point?

I was actually expecting Roy Jones Jr to get on that given his recent social media rant against Mayweather.

This is an absolute joke. If Tyson has to be boxing anybody, it should be against other old heavyweights like him, like Holyfield, Bowe, possibly Ibeabuchi. This just doesn't make any sense. He's so old and broken physically, even Jake Paul can outbox him. Mayweather will just humiliate him. Heck, I think Danny Williams would beat him again, and he's surely brain damaged to hell by now.

 

An exhibition match between veterans is fine. As long as they're exhibition matches and not official matches, that's good for me. I don't watch exhibitions, but it's right that they exist. I would have preferred the Tyson-Paul match to be an exhibition and not an official match.

 

I wonder what the attraction is for Mike?

Surely he doesn't need the money. You'd think after the shitshow of his last outing he'd never want to see a boxing ring again.

Typical response to the backlash. Floyd Mayweather Jr. responds to boxings fans who says he only took the Mike Tyson fight because he needs the money. Posting on his Instagram sat on his private jet with a pile of cash.

Floyd: “I’m pretty sure I’d be upset too if I was somebody else, I’d be mad at Mayweather too. How the f*** for 30 years you can keep getting money like this. I’d be hating on Mayweather too. Continue to hate, you know people only talk about winners and I’m a winner so continue to talk.”

 

They are incapable of letting go, and obviously the money is a big bonus too.

Just because someone flashes money, doesn't mean they have lots of it. Floyd already went broke early in his career, so its not unreasonable to assume that he never learned his lesson.

On the other hand, Floyd could have set his financial up in a smart way, but in a way which he has little access to cash, in order to stay away from debt as debt is the biggest killed of athletes finances. So these exhibitions are merely to fund his fun lifestyle.
