#1 is not even close. Its Ali.

Liston, Foreman and Frazier are all ranked in most people's top 10-15 list of all time at heavyweight. Ali is 5-1 vs them.

Apart from that, Lyle, Shavers, Quarry x 2, Terrell, Bonavena, Bugner etc. etc. Its not even close as to who the #1 guy is.

Tyson. Hear me out. Tucker was supposed to be the real #1. Then Spinks was supposed to be the real #1. Biggs was supposed to outbox him according to Ron Borges, same as Carl Williams if he boxed like he did against Holmes. Razor Ruddock was going to knock him out…

Tubbs, Thomas were really talented and wanting to reclaim world honours. Ruddock and Bruno could really crack. This guy fought everyone. Larry Holmes. Berbick, Bonecrusher. In quick succession. Razor twice, Frank twice. Golota. No fear.

    Hugely underrated.

While i personally don't have Tyson at #2, i can see your case. Tyson's resume is underrated greatly.

I don’t think Joe can touch Muhammad’s resume.

Frazier x2, Liston x2, peak big George, big Williams, Terrell, Quarry, Bonavena, Shavers, Norton…silly silly resume

Dubois crumbles at the slightest sight of trouble. Fury is 36 years old and was coming off a beating against an MMA fighter, having done virtually nothing in the years leading up to the fight other than rematching the same old, wasted bads in Whyte and Chisora and beating a depleted, washed Wilder. Joshua also did virtually nothing in the year leading up to the fight, aside from avenging his loss to a “2.0 Galento” and beating another mediocre plodder like Dubois in Pulev.

You could have a better argument if you counted the wins against Gassiev and Briedis who are factually much, MUCH better than Dubois and the versions of Fury and Joshua that Uysk beat.

Debatable. But idk why people here have such an obsession with discrediting Usyk’s wins. They were all great wins when he got them against very good oppoents. But I guess can't have Usyk on the level of past greats might destroy people's well crafted narratives but how all modern fighters suck.

Stop saying things that i haven't said nor implied.

I am not discrediting Uysk's HW wins, they are good wins, but not at the level you or many people make them out to be.

    Lewis.

But McCall has Lewis, Holmes, Damiani, Maskaev, Seldon and Akinwande.

I would have picked Lennox Lewis, assuming that Ali is #1. However this is a really solid list when I look at it. Food for thought.

Maskaev, Seldon and Akinwande weren't that good. A 44-45 year old Holmes is a solid win but not a particularly outstanding one.

Damiani is a good win and Lewis is an exceptional win.

While Joe Louis is probably the majority pick here is he 2nd for quantity or actually the quality of his wins?

    Or both?

Has to be quantity. Love Louis. He is #2 on my all time heavyweight list. But in terms of quality, i don't see him being #2 in the quality win list.

    1. Ali
    2. Lewis
    3. I don't know...

I sympathise with those who would say Louis took on all comers, and I sympathise with those who count the world's top cruisers as inclusions for Usyk. But I'm fairly confident with my top two. Maybe Tyson for three?
