Johnny Risko, Johnny Indrisano, Tiger Jones, Wesley Ramey, Lloyd Marshall all had multiple wins over fighters who at one time or another held championships.

There were 3 Argentinians who beat Carlos Monzon early in the escopeta's career , and never got a chance to fight for a world title.

Gerald Hayes beat Juan Laporte but Laporte was a current world champion,

Ferd Hernandez outpointed a super past his prime Sugar Ray Robinson.

Pat Lawlor beat both Roberto Duran and Wilfred Benitez and Kirkland Laing beat Duran.

That's true, there are many. But I'm not listing any unless they have at least 4 champions scalp on their lance. A goofy criteria, i know.

    Davey Day beat Sammy Angott

Sammy Angott beat Davey Day for the NBA lightweight title. In Louisville, Ky. Jack Dempsey was the sole referee and judge, giving Sammy the Championship by one point. Sammy's own manager paid all of Jack Dempsey expenses, besides his charge off $3500 to $5000 to make Angott a Champ. It was mentioned at the signing of the fight that Dempsey will be the Referee. Soon afterwards, the Kentucky Boxing Commission shelved the judges and made Dempsey the sole referee and judge. Incidentally, Dempsey was also, the associate promoter of the fight as mentioned in NY, newspapers being the promoter. Davey said before the fight that Dempsey ain't right, his managers told Davey he is on are side. His managers could of had this fight in Chicago with larger gate, and full accompany of judges. Promoters are not suppose to be a judge in their fight. "That's all." Have a good day.

Robert "The Nordic Nightmare" Helenius stopped Sam Peter, Sergei Liakhovich and Lamon Brewster. He also failed in non-title shots against Wilder and Joshua.

Helenius never received a title shot.
