I can't think why you thought these would be useful comparisons.

Neither Monzon nor Hagler were KTFO by unrated fighters in their first two to three years as pros. All of their formative losses were avenged.

Hagler was three and a half years and twenty-plus fights away from a title shot.
Monzon was over six years and something like sixty fights away from his title shot.

Two of the three so-called early losses of Wlad's happened five-to-six-plus years into his career and were title fights. Only one of his three 'early losses' were avenged.

    No comparison whatsoever.

None of them were title fights. The WBO was not considered a major title at that point. All the losses were years away from the rematch win over Byrd which is generally considered the start of Wlad's reign.

I don't see any way to reconcile his early losses with his subsequent dominance unless there was a dramatic improvement.

And neither had 10 years of title fights and one year of earning and winning an eliminator without losing.

Wlad never was KFTO. He lost twice due to exhaustion and got knocked down a bunch of times by Sanders before the ref stepped in. He never gassed out once he hit his prime and beat all of the best and most dangerous southpaws available.

I’d rather have Wlad’s record against southpaws than Holmes’.

He was competing for and defending that title as a world champion, with well-funded promotions, the backing of major networks, and globally televised broadcasts. He wasn't being positioned as a prospect.

The stakes were high and his losses were considered disasters.

So what? As already alluded to, by the time he'd lost to Brewster, Wlad was over six years into his pro career. After this loss, he was fighting for another title, four fights and just two years later.

This wasn't some long, developmental journey of discovery that Wlad was traversing in exile.

Besides, what does any of what you're asserting here have to do with your attempts to map Wlad's career arc onto the careers of Hagler and Monzon?

The irony is, it is spelt "losses". In both of the instances you used it.

Oh my word,Big George lost twice..........once to Muhammad Ali ! Terrible !! The other time to JImmy Young, one of the greatest technicians in heavyweight history.
Compared to Wlad's glittering record of losing to Ross Puritty,Lamon Brewster and Corrie Sanders ( inside 2 rounds !! ).
You know what ? I don't think any of these guys are as good as Muhammad Ali.I hope you don't find this too controversial.

    I'd rather have Holmes's chin than Wlad's.
Actually I'd rather have Foreman's chin than Wlad's.
    Just saying........
