    Some great footage I haven't seen before. Well put together overview of Gerrie's career by Rich. It was worth a couple glasses of wine in the LazyBoy.

    I saw it yesterday. Great footage. I wonder how much more Coetzee could have achieved. Seems like he underachieved.

    Yeah, he's a bit more dynamic than I have given him credit before. His speed seems underrated while his power seems a tad overrated. Had he gone to the US earlier, and of course not had the political issues, he could have made a more lasting mark on the division. He was certainly talented.

    i think he achieved about what his talent level allowed. He had the hometown crowd advantage against both Tate and Weaver and couldn't get it done. He took advantage of the fact Dokes was undisciplined and had addiction issues prior to their fight. Glad he finally won a title. A unification with Holmes in SA would have been huge. Too bad it didn't happen. He was rusty by the time he fought Page and it showed.

    I think training in the US would have sharpened him quite a bit. His homegrown team seemed a bit inept.
