We'll see but I'm thinking a Draw is highly likely here.

It’s far from impossible. We saw Usyk beat Fury and AJ. Crawford is fairly big and Canelo hasn’t challenged himself or has been that impressive after Bivol schooled him 3 years ago.

Crawford is in the ‘I won’t bet against that guy’ category for me. On paper, too big of a weight advantage for a fighter as skilled as Canelo but, I think Crawford’s determination and ring IQ are on a different level. My bet is on Crawford to win.

A great analysis, but I think that Canelo is more than just "going through the motions." He seems ring-worn and long-in-the-tooth.

That is why I think Crawford, even at 38, has a real advantage. Very similar to Fury-Usyk, where Usyk was technically older, but Fury closer to the end.

    Go Bud!

I don't see why you say it's "impossible " for Bud to win, Rummy. He certainly has a chance to win. Maybe a 30-40% chance?

Crawford will outclass cheater Canelita and her judges won't save her this time because Crawford won't leave any doubt. A stoppage is absolutely possible in case Canelita loses her **** and starts to panic once she gets light up like a Christmas tree by Bud.

    Great analysis as usual Rummy.

Personally I think a huge amount in this fight comes down to how declined / out of the game is Canelo really? An on-point switched on Canelo is a hard night for Bud in his 1st fight at 168.

I know skills pay the bills, but Canelo is skillful in his own way with great head movement and has hardly blinked and absorbed the best that GGG and other heavy hitters can dish out.

The big key to the fight for Bud IMO is Canelo's lead feet - he needs to keep Canelo resetting, really frustate him and keep him from getting inside and working the body.

I don't think Alvarez is as shot / declined as a lot of folks think, more that recent opponents haven't really put a fire in his belly (much his own fault!). But I think Canelo is well aware that Crawford is coming to win, and that probably hasn't happened since Bivol, which alone is going to fire him up I think and get the best Canelo we can at this point.

It's intriguing the close it gets, but I still think the safe money is a Canelo decision.

Did you actually make a prediction apart from your analysis?

Those so many different things that Canelo has actually SHOWN to struggle with that Crawford possesses in his arsenal. Where as the only thing that I even question about Crawford's ability is will he be able to deal with the power from Canelo early in the fight.

I honestly see this being an IQ chess match through the 4th. At that point we'll start to see whoever is going to win the fight start to pull away and make a statement.

I do expect fireworks either way. I don't expect a stoppage though.
