Canelo himself is a JWW imo.

    I’m picking Crawford UD.

I think it would be fair to compare how Charlo moved up and got bullied around by Canelo despite having a height and reach advantage.

Crawford is a skilled fighter and he does have good power, but we don't know how his power carries up, especially to 168. If he can't discourage Canelo, who has a very sturdy chin, he's going to be spending a lot of time moving backwards and getting stalked like Charlo did.

But then again, there is a blueprint to beat Canelo and Canelo is no longer in his prime. Neither guy are to be honest. Canelo hasn't challenged himself in years and that could be a problem. Bivol showed that with some sharp counters, you can discourage Canelo and make him doubt himself and that was a prime Canelo.

I think it will be a close fight, with Canelo winning the earlier rounds and Crawford having some success late when Canelo slows a bit. I see a 8-4 or 7-5 type of fight with Canelo winning. Even if if lose more rounds, the judges are on his side to give him the victory.

Bivol throws volume too tho. Crawford isn’t a one punch guy but he doesn’t throw combinations like Bivol.

Agree, except it's likely going to be a boring decision win, somewhat similar to Bud's Postol approach. If Canelo will not be able to dominate, he will likely do his Bivol approach or like Loma's initial one vs Teo. Crawford is the more ambitious, "fresher", and hungrier fighter, while Alvarez is less prideful now, lowly motivated, and lower killer instinct, but smart enough to not let himself get KO'ed.

Canelo hasn’t been able to make 140 since before he hit puberty. Canelo was killing himself to make 154 for years and was even fairly tight at 160 (his best weight imo), he’s been a healthily sized SMW for the better part of a decade now. To say that he’s a super-lightweight is frankly absurd.

I'm actually surprised that people are thinking that Crawford has absolutely no shot. Perhaps lose but not without putting up a hard fight. A great fighter like Bud is gonna be a live underdog who isn't going to just lay down even if he's the one moving up in weight. I'm almost positive that Crawford is at least going to put on a much better showing than Charlo did.
