I’ve never seen him fight. I know Emiliano is supposed to be the talented one. I’m wondering why his Dad and promoter is letting him fight Walsh. Walsh is proven and has fought legit competition. Seems like a massive step up. Do they see something?

Hi Frank, did you move to Austin? Nice place, I was at the Miraval resort there in 2022.

Feels weird for them to cash him out against Walsh. With his dad’s name he probably could have gotten an easier fight for more money.

Maybe they see something... I know @CST80 considers Walsh a glass jawed fraud.

@CST80 has he gotten hurt? I’ve seen a few of his fights and he looked tough as nails.

Vargas Jr is alright but nothing special. He’s a 28 year old prospect I would expect him to already fight someone of Callum Walsh’s level by now. This fight will give us an idea how good Vargas Jr really is.

Yes, the wife and I have ab apartment in North Austin and I also bought a house out on Lake LBJ an hour west of Austin. Surrounded by golf courses and I don't play golf. Both daughters and grandsons are now in Austin so we're all together for the first time in many years. We were glad to see Dallas in our rear view mirror.

Yeah Miraval is nice. The girls go to the spa there. Thanks for asking.

I made a thread about this asking the same thing it’s very strange they’re putting him in a risky fight with no reward

Well, in Walsh's defense, while he did get hurt and dropped against Ismael Villarreal and arguably should've lost to him, Villarreal is a very heavy handed fighter who only managed to get to him late, and I don't doubt Villarreal would walk right through Vargas as well. So I think Walsh can stand up to a guy like Vargas, who I don't rate highly at all, and get the win here.

Do you believe both Walsh and Fernando Vargas Jr are both hype jobs?
