Bud edged more rounds than Canelo and taking little damage other than the headbutt and some good body shots but when it came to headshots is became clear who was the better boxer . The Judges got it right , I had it 116-112

Dumb mfers keep talking up Ennis. The dude is a *****. He ducked Vergil, Bud, and wanted a CW for Haney. Hes a *****.

Bud to unify at 154 would be mindblowing. Vergil, Fundora, Murdervaliev are current champs.

Bud fights Vergil and Fundora/Thurman winner v Murdervaliev - winners face each other.

Two more Bud fights then he OUTTIE. 140, 147, 168, 154 UNDISPUTED

Crawford is older but he has way less miles on his clock than Clenelo who has fought well over twice the amount of rounds, fought way better opposition, been in way more wars, taken way more punishment, fought way more punchers and has been boxing 2 years longer. Crawford still has his speed and sharpness, Clenelo does not.

I told everyone what was going to happen down to a tee but I thought Crawford would be landing clean shots more. He did when he stood his ground and that impressed me more but for most of the rounds he moved and barely landed or threw

Like I said, Crawford had to execute a very simple game plan and it's one Clenelo has no answer for because he's an incomplete fighter who cannot deal with that style and never could. Floyd, Bivol, Usyk, Crawford Loma are Inoue are complete fighters because they are always going to land their shots with consistency Vs ANY style

That's such a poor argument. You can use that to argue any result on boxing.

Id imagine you saw the final bell and believed Crawford deserved it.

    Do a rewatch tomorrow.

Canelo did land the bigger shots the first half of the fight imo, so yes there is a case for it, but Crawford was more active. I agree the first half of the fight was pretty damn even. but mid fight Crawford started taking over landing big shots of his own AND outworking Canelo landing more. But the popular guy is Canelo, and 2 scorecards had it 115 - 113 for Craw.. and that does seem a little generous for Canelo giving what we just saw. But doable I guess. what was your scorecard?

    I predicted Canelo by KO.

I'm a fan of both, but leaned towards Canelo here.

    I scored it 6 - 5 , one round even for Bud.
7 -5 is a perfectly fine score, IMO

Two judges agreed with me and the third had it wider.

This is the biggest upset since Pac offed Oscar.

    Maybe bigger.

Listen I am not even a Bud fan and I am a Canelo fan always have been since I saw him as a 22 year old world champion in Las Vegas. Try to get some objectivity because Bud dominated this fight hands down. Even the Canelo judges could not cheat him. I had it 118-110.

lets not overrate.. things have to be put into perspective. The era and everything else. he is great but not compared to the guys of the past.. no I don't see it.. 2 great wins are good but time has to go by to put this into perspective. Tonight everyone will say he passed up Ali.. in a few years it won't be like that..

This is where legacy and all that is very much how defined by how the history books are written - GGG beat a prime far better Canelo, wider twice IMO but didnt get the decision either time.

Bud beats a near-shot, far worse Canelo (post-Bivol blueprint as well), yet he is an ATG now (I mean yeah he's always been on the eye-test, but is this fight really the one that validates it?)., meanwhile GGG is a nearly-was etc etc

Personally, Crawford would have been greater in my eyes beating Vergil Ortiz at 154 - though I know to most folks that is high-risk low-reward - and tbf to Bud, nowhere near the payday!
