Would Canelo do any better if he fought Crawford earlier in their career?

How would it have turned out if they fought 4-5 years ago?

Crawford would have been younger and faster and would have beat his ass even worse.

Bud's not Plant, Smith, or Saunders. Clenelo never wins.

yes.. canelo when he fought ggg the 2nd was a better fight and a boxer that I saw that was extremely talented.. i saw the 2nd with ggg and he was so accurate against jacobs... but my version of canelo at 168 was lazier and was jab and bomb... you know something bud looks pretty good but i think the best version of canelo would have beaten the best version of bud at 160... hopefully i can see bud vs beanvidez i promise you benavjdez would beat him and throw him out

Crawford is a better and more complete fighter than Canelo and would’ve always beaten him.

Look at Canelo’s body language when he backed away from Bud once in round 11 and and twice in round 12, he was lost. Scores were irrelevant, he knew he was out of his debt.

I mean, Bud would be better too.

Canelo might do slightly better but doubt it would be enough to win.

Look at the Canelo that fought Scull and Berlanga and compare it to the one who fought Jacobs or Callum. It's not the same fighter. **** even Charlo 2 years ago his speed and skills were way better than in the Scull and Berlanga fights and Charlo was bigger and in same situation as Bud moving up obviously he isn't as good as Bud

Please never forget that Lara is Canelo's daddy. Hell even Austin Trout ran him close. I never understood why Canelo was being favored here. The gap in skill between these two has ALWAYS been astronomical and any non-Canelo fanboy should have been able to see it.

No, not really. Crawford would capitalize on exactly the same weaknesses like he did today.

Canelo is much older than Crawford in boxing years and had multiple surgeries due to knee and hand injuries.

That being said Crawford just fought so well against him. Canelo historically struggles with good long-range boxers that can stand with him in the pocket and Crawford did just that. I thought his defense and physicality wasn’t good enough for that but he proved me wrong. Not sure how much things would change if Canelo was faster and fresher, especially considering Crawford would always have a speed advantage over him.

Jermell was undisputed champion at 154 a very good fighter and Champion but he is not Bud and does have the same speed, skills and ring IQ.

Crawford would be younger as well, he's already older than Canelo as it is.
