I get all that and makes sense. But the biggest question going into tonight's fight was how will Bud deal with Canelo's POWER. He showed he can handle it and then some. So that being answered and also the fact that he filled out well leads me to focus more on speed, skills and ring IQ. Bud is superior in all 3 aspects. I am not saying Bud wins, just not saying he has no chance.
Crawford would knock him out. Too mobile and accurate. He had a draw with Crawfords sparring partner. Crawford would beat Martinez. Bud hurt Canelo a couple times, he would hurt the inferior Mbilli
Crawford too smart for that. Not sure where he goes from here but wherever it is, should be back down in weight.
Clenelo hasn't stopped anyone in 4 years despite cherrypicking like crazy throughout that time. He's been declining every fight. As I predicted Crawford could see those big telegraphed swings from a mile away and simply block them. Bivol wouldn't know how to telegraph a punch if he tried. He still has his speed and sharpness and crazy accuracy, Clenelo has tons of miles on his clock and does not and Bivol is a not a very stylistically favourable match up for him like Clenelo. Quite the opposite in fact. Bivol would knock his ass smooth out
I wouldn't put it past Turki to try and make Bud v Bivol, but I think Crawford knows a bridge too far when he sees one.
Crawford picked Clenelo because he knows he can't deal with movement to save his life, is not much bigger than him, and is well past his best and was a very favourable stylistic match up for him. Mean Machine and Madrimov were still young, fresh, sharp and in their prime and so is Mbilli who is too tenacious, powerful, and relentless for him. He's a freaking punching machine and Crawford would have to run all night just to survive and not get overpowered and sent to sleep
Yup, all makes sense. I am just a big believer in skills and ring IQ. Also a Bud fan. But yeah, perhaps a bridge too far.
Crawford is too skilled and has a good chin, he would hurt Mbilli. The version of Canelo that Crawford just defeated would beat Mbilli
Thing is I wouldn't even expect Crawford to fight Bivol or blame him if he didn't. He could beat someone Bivol's size but not someone who brings everything to the table Bivol does. It is a bridge too far and one no one should expect him to cross
