I these guys filled out the scorecards for a Canelo win before the fight started. They are deluded and bitter sad people at the result.

I think the opponents have helped mask just how big of a decline Canelo has really been on, masking Canelos mindset with a poor mentality too, i think hes been so used to touching a couple of these B level fighters and seeing them hit the gas and box negative to survive for 12 rounds hes fell into a trap of one heavy shot every now and then is enough to coast a decision. Last time i really saw Canelo even try and put some punches together was against Bivol and he was exhausted. Dont think hes wanted to go back to that place mentally ever since.

Should Canelo ride off into the sunset? I'm talking to alot of people that think he should retire.

I don’t care for either guy but it was pretty obvious Canelo was washed after seeing the first couple rounds. Even my mates who are casuals texted me saying Canelo looks slow AF.

Just watched the fight. Will boxing fans stop being drama queens acting like a guys head will explode upon first impact just because he’s fighting a bigger opponent/moving up in weight yet? Or has Usyk, Crawford and whoever else still not done the trick?

It is a blueprint or maybe the better way of putting it is formula. Clenelo can't deal with movement or boxers and when he has to try he looks completely lost and clueless how to solve the puzzle

Long amateur careers cause the same kind of wear and tear, because a fight is a fight, and your body doesn't know that you're being pummeled by an amateur. It's really the rounds that tell the ring age of a fighter. Even though they stay forever in the amateurs some fighters injuries and experience accumulate tremendously over hundreds of fights like Usyk, Golovkin, Lomachenko, and to a lesser extent Andre Ward.

The most notable example of wearing a fighter out in the amateurs is probably Wilfred Benitez. He had over one hundred fights and still managed to win a title at age 17 against a legend but then he burned out early like a Muay Thai fighter. Mike Tyson would end fights in a single round and had a lot of knockouts. His career was 59 bouts but only 223 rounds long compared to Pernell Whitaker's 46 bouts and 379 round career. Guys like Roberto Duran or Julio Cesar Chavez who can still fight into their 100th bout can probably do that because they have almost no amateur experience. Instead they crushed fifty cans before stepping up or maybe interspersed stay busy fights in between bouts with champs and contenders. Ray Robinson fought 200+ guys. I wouldn't be surprised if he'd either rather take an easy fight against a nobody and win rather than paying for sparring partners, or fight ten times a year to stay in shape. That's definitely contributing to him having over 100 knockouts.

Another condition to take into consideration is how much sparring they do. James Toney's pugilistica dementia is probably equal parts from the 92 fight 688 round career and the fact that he'd rather spar than exercise. That toned up his skills and gave him the characteristics of an old school fighter, all of them.

Crawford had 70 amateur bouts to Canelo's 46. If the average amateur bout is three rounds then he had 72 rounds more experience before turning pro. Of course, their pro rounds add up. Grok says Canelo has 520 to Bud's 245, so maybe Canelo is the older fighter as you say.

I had it for Crawford but it was closer than people are making out. I think people will score this closer on rewatch once hype has died down. I had it 6 rounds Crawford, 5 rounds Canelo and 1 even. When you've got those early rounds with low activity and blocked shots, the bigger more effective single shots score the round which imo Canelo was landing to the body.

What I find most surprising is Bud's durability and strength. I don't think Canelo rocked him once or bullied him as I expected him too. How the **** was this guy was weighing in below 147 for most of his career? Must've been a magic trick.

    Mauricio Sulaimán, WBC president:

"Now it turns out the promoter of Canelo vs. Crawford is the #UFC. And they've already started with a bunch of rules, like the one about me not being able to get in the ring... As president of the World Boxing Council, are you telling me I can't get in the ring?... So who's going to give the belt to the winner? They're doing this so Dana White is the one up there and he'll be the one to steal the show. And I already told them they should have two or three really strong security guards there because I'm going to get in the ring..." 0

So basically, I can take any joe and give them your "blueprint " and they will beat Clenelo?
