True but everyone knew that Canelo wasn't at his best anymore when Crawford faced him. That's why so many people thought Crawford could win. So neither one fought the best version of Canelo. Canelo at his best IMO was 2018-2021. He was about 5 years away from that when he fought Floyd and 4 years from that when he fought Crawford.

154lbs Canelo was not a GREAT fighter (or 152lbs he was required to make)

It doesn't matter he had 40 pro fights. 2 years before Floyd is when Miguel's lil bro hurt him bad.

    At 154 Canelo

Many thought he lost to Lara and Floyd fought the same version of Canelo that Lara fought
Barely scraped by Trout despited the cooked card, Trout won at least 4-5 rounds

So the version of Canelo that Floyd fought certainly wasn't in his prime either.

Prime Canelo was 160-168 from 2016-20 or so. Neither Floyd nor Bud fought Canelo at his best but Bud at least fought him at his best weight and at a weight Canelo was struggling to beat if not lost to the likes of Lara and Trout.

I think Bud is all wrong for Pac. Floyd vs Bud is the sweet science at the higheat level. Almost a 50/50 fight for me, possibly slightly leaning in Bud's favor.

It's pretty obvious he benefited from a weak super middleweight era after Ward's. Canelo would have stayed at 160 if Ward was at 168. I agree with you that Crawford doesn't beat either guy.

Pacquiao is the only fighter among these 4 men to defeat a pound for pound all time great in their prime.

Honestly 35 year old Crawford probably stops the Canelo that Floyd fought with the same weight stipulations/conditions

Legacy-wise I’m not sure if he’s there, though he’s at worst right behind them along with Usyk.

Though I’d favour him over both Mayweather and Pacquaio at 147 prime vs prime.

The fact that Pacquiao could even be competitive with Crawford tells us a lot about Pacquiao's boxing ability. No man who stands 5'5" and amounts to a natural Featherweight should defeat Crawford at 147.

Crawford's resume is pure **** next to Floyd's and people were saying Floyd's was bad back in the day. It's not Crawford's fault but it was a weak era.

3 years actually and Canelo was 19 years old vs Cotto that's a bit of dishonest argument by you to discredit Mayweather's win.

Trout was 26-0 and coming off convincingly beating Cotto.

Lara ended up becoming one of the best 154 pound fighters in recent times.

Lara would always be a very opponent for Canelo so i don't really understand the point your making. Trout and Lara are better opponents than anyone Canelo has fought recently since an old Golovkin in 2022 unless you count Charlo who moved up 2 weightclasses.

I never said he was but Mayweather was 36 years old vs Canelo which is older than Canelo is now and had a 14 pound weight disadvantage not to mention Mayweather beat Canelo without breaking a sweat.

Lara is one of the best opponents Canelo has ever fought so why do you keep bringing up Canelo struggling against Lara as some type of argument to discredit Mayweather's win ?

Mayweather fought Canelo with a 14 pound weight disadvantage whilst being 13 years older at the end of his career and Mayweather beat Canelo easily without barely losing a round.

Yes Crawford beat Canelo at Super Middleweight but Canelo hadn't had an impressive performance in years and had looked lackluster in most of his recent fights that's why i picked Crawford to win prior to the fight.

So for me no Crawford beating Canelo does nothing in terms of Crawford being rated above Mayweather or Pacquiao both are still clearly above him for me.
