I honestly thought that Crawford would not be able to get the victory. He's 38, and the jump in weight is HUGE
Maybe they could make AI with a pro-American bias? One that would give rounds to fighters who don't deserve it because they are American?
I really don’t know what you’re going on about? If anything every close round would have been swung to canelos side, ya know the cash cow of boxing? Except that they weren’t that close. Bringing in nationality now? Take the L and move on.
Rummy, I don't agree that in the last few rounds Canelo was trying his best to win. He was coasting to a loss, made no changes at all from round 1 to round 12. Left to the body, back away. Follow Bud to the ropes, no combinations. No ability to cut off the ring against a fluid boxer. Jab? What's a jab? Canelo has made zillions of $$ with this recipe vs the Fields and Munguias of the boxing world, but it doesn't work against top tier guys like Floyd, GGG or Bivol. Props to Bud and his team for understanding Canelos deficiencies and taking advantage of them.
With guys like Crawford, Usyk, even Canelo proving they can move up and dominate...I think it's time boxing gets rid of those "in-between" divisions.
In all three losses, it was the same thing. The guy conceded to defeat against Mayweather, Bivol and Crawford. People talk about his chin but he won't sell out and test it, if he knows he's losing.
Vid sums up the fight.. I didn’t see this. Jesus, Bud admiring his own shot and Canelo Iron chin. https://www.facebook.com/share/v/19kiNjmtdb/?mibextid=wwXIfr
This fight really exposed how insanely corrupt boxing is with PEDs/weight classes and stacking the deck. So Canelo goes up from below MW to wipe out a killer career LHW in Kovalev. Then years later Canelo loses to someone at 168 who fought below welter. What is even happening? To put this in perspective, just imagine prime Bud versus prime Kovalev. Because based on all this insanity that's a viable fight.
