For the judges it was tied through 10 for 2 of them, would have been draw if Bud didn't win round 12

Similar to the Bivol fight where Bivol had to win the 12th round because all 3 judges had it 6-5 for Bivol meaning it would've been a draw.

And the Bivol one was worse as he beat Canelo far more convincingly.

To be frank, I was waiting for the robbery or typical Las Vegas draw.

I had Crawford winning the fight 8-4.

You know it was rigged when he didn’t even read out loud all the scorecards

Surprisingly, the judges only agreed on 6 of the 12 rounds.

All three judges awarded Crawford rounds 4, 6, 11, 12.

All three judges awarded Canelo rounds 2, 8.

In 4 of the remaining 6 rounds, two of the three judges scored them to Crawford.

The clear Canelo rounds were rounds 5 and 8. The clear Crawford rounds were 2, 6, 7, 9, 11 and 12. The other 4 rounds were all close enough to call swing rounds (mainly due to the volume of clean connects being quite low), where you can either favour Canelo’s sustained pressure and harder, cleaner singles to the body, or Crawford’s flurries where 2 or 3 shots only land partially.

With that in mind, there is a legitimate spread of possible scores ranging from 114-114 to 118-110. Neither of those tell the story of the fight. Crawford was the clear winner of a competitive fight. Take away those 2 extremes and you have a range of 115-113 to 117-111 to Crawford. Both of those are absolutely defensible scorecards. What isn’t defensible is the fact that Canelo wasn’t given the 5th by Steve Wisefeld, and that all 3 judges gave Canelo the 2nd rather than Crawford. As you can see, there are issues with the scoring in favour of both men in spots.

Totals were good, but as usual, there are signs of incompetence.

It's Canelo, what did you expect?

I think It was @Rumsfeld who mentioned this in another thread, Canelo looked like he was second away from yelling "no mas" when he walked away from Crawford with an extremely frustrated look on his face during round 11. And he was even on the scorecards while that happened. (And It happened again in round 12)

I do not like Canelo and I had it the same; 7-5 Crawford with him winning 11 & 12.

To me, it was one of those fights where Crawford was clearly winning the fight overall, but I had Canelo winning 5 rounds. I felt there was a massive overreacation in the first 6 rounds about Crawford being up 5-1. I did not see it that way at all. I had it 3-3.

I still wonder what happened to the usual wide for Canelo card?
He always used to have one judge that basically scored every round for him as long if he wasn't beaten for pilar to post.

Did that stop with the Bivol loss?

The Ring's AI judge actually had it a draw. I thought the judges' scores were fine personally. Competitive but clear for Bud.

Can't see what is wrong with someone seeing it even after 10

    I scored it

    Alvarez
    Alvarez
    Even
    Crawford
    Alvarez
    Crawford
    Crawford
    Alvarez close
    Crawford
    Alvarez
    Crawford
    Crawford

    115/114
    Crawford

I felt some other rounds could have potentially been even
Didn't think there was any controversy with the scoring

Looking at the post of the judges cards
I was in agreement to 9 of the rounds with all 3 judges
I scored one round even, where two of the judges had it one way and the other, the other way, so if I had have picked someone on that round I would have been in agreement with 10 rounds to either one or two of the judges

    I scored it

    Alvarez
    Alvarez
    Even
    Crawford
    Alvarez
    Crawford
    Crawford
    Alvarez close
    Crawford
    Alvarez
    Crawford
    Crawford

    115/114
    Crawford

Judges were in agreement of 6 rounds I think
Can't see much wrong with the scoring
