I'm surprised Akhmadaliev doesn't seem to have a warm up fight lined up, at least I have not heard of any news of the sort. He'll be out of the ring for 9 months since his last fight and that fight was a full year after the fight before that one. He barely fights all, he's had 2 fights since he lost to Tapales 2 years ago and will only fight once this year if he doesn't fight anyone else other than Inoue. 1 fight a year is terrible for a supposed top fighter.

 

I read somewhere he's got a fight with Luis Castillo end of this month. He's a 29 years old unranked fighter with a 31-6 record. I mean I know MJ doesn't want to risk a sliver of chance of injury but frankly this guy is worse than even Kim.

Well now that Inoue vs MJ finally happened it turned out to be just another tune up fight. That's how far above the competition Inoue is and it's insane just how easily he toyed with MJ. Didn't even get out of first gear and still made it into a sparring session.

 

Those would be great fights. It looks like they're pushing for a Nakatani bout next year for sure. Personally I think Inoue should move up to Featherweight next should he beat Nakatani. Bam seems more content with sticking around at Super Flyweight.

 

Wouldn't call it a barren landscape when you have guys like Ball, Espinoza, Leo, Carrington. Some good competition for Inoue to pursue on.

Ball could possibly trouble Inoue if he can force a brawl. Espinoza would be the biggest threat though due to his size and workrate. Not gonna be an easy fight for Inoue. But of course I've also said this about Fulton and MJ and Inoue ended up making easy work on them.

It would be an amazing feat if Inoue manages to beat Nakatani then proceeds to clean out 126 with ease as well.
