Crawford has never fought a top level mover besides Madrimov and that fight was close, he also struggled with Kell Brook at long range until he caught him with a KO shot so I actually like Mayweathers chances here.

Crawford prefers come forward fighters so he can set traps. Mayweather might actually be a stylistic nightmare for Crawford

It was obviously Bivol if we don't count the GGG robberies.
Floyd demanded Canelo weigh in at 152 which is not a real weight division he was compromised.
Crawford fought an older washed Canelo.

"Prime" Canelo gets the same treatment against the same version 36/37/38 year old of Floyd that beat him. He just simply doesnt have the ability. Footwork, hand speed, Ring IQ, conditioning, reactions, its all too much for any version of Canelo, thats not a knock on Canelo either, 99% of fighters in history around them weight classes fall victim to Floyds superiority. History tells us Canelo cannot deal with specific attributes. Floyd is all wrong for a fighter with Canelos style and skillset.

Canelo thrives best when he has a nice big target to hit, all these bigger guys where Canelos hands are fast enough to land is perfect for him. I think Canelo has legit power, but its useless when he fights elite boxers cause they arent gonna be there to tag clean. I think hes very lucky Andre Ward left when he did because thats another name that would have really put a beatdown on him.

Honestly, not a knock on Bud because i love him, Floyd is just too elusive for him. Dont even need to nit pick at Buds style as to why Floyd would win, Floyd just wouldnt be there to be hit. If it took place at 147, id most certainly expect a wide UD for Floyd, 135/140, Bud would have more chance because Floyd was way more aggressive.

So you're saying that Canelo was a good stylistic match for Crawford and Mayweather would be more complicated. I can buy that, on the other hand, you could say that Mayweather isn't as suited to be as effective as Canelo or Crawford at higher weights due to his limits. I think we can agree that both Canelo and Crawford are bigger punchers than Mayweather, at least 147/154 Mayweather later in his career.

Both 147 Crawford and 168 Crawford were pretty good, compared to how he was at 154. You take the Spence version of Crawford against any version of Mayweather, it's hard to call but I think it would be very competitive. But if Crawford can go up higher in weight than Mayweather ever could, then maybe Crawford's physical advantages are the problem, for both Canelo or a hypothetical Mayweather. It's those physical advantages Crawford has combined with his High Ring IQ that makes him tough for anyone to beat.

But as Great as Both Mayweather was and Crawford is, Their victories over Canelo were not against the Best Canelo. That is not their fault that Canelo was pre-prime or post-prime but that's the general consensus. I would personally have to favor Prime Canelo over Mayweather or Bud, but neither fight would be easy, and they have both shown the blueprint on how to beat Canelo. But if we're talking about Mayweather vs THIS Bud, I would personally have to favor Bud, for one because we have never seen Mayweather at such a high weight (during his career, not these post-career circus exhibitions) and we don't know how he would handle it. I just do not see how the Mayweather who beat Canelo Certainly not the Mayweather who struggled with Maidana in his next fight could do to a 168-lb Champ what Bud just did. Now, could a 147-lb Mayweather handle the 147-lb Crawford who beat Spence? I don't know about that either, maybe an earlier version. Bud against Spence looked unbeatable. Bud did not look unbeatable against Canelo, he looked vulnerable but Canelo was not able to fully exploit that vulnerability. What I would say is that Crawford would be a serious problem for Mayweather at any weight!

It's all hypothetical. In the end we know the Canelo prototype style doesn't work against Mayweather. Canelo did not drastically improve, he just got bigger and more defensively responsible, but Mayweather was already past his prime.

Mayweather beats any version of Canelo. His size only matters as much as he lands his best shots continously and that would not happen here

Bivol fought the best version out of those three, but probably not THE best version of Canelo, because I feel he was slowing down even then. The Floyd version was young and weight drained.

Yes I agree, the Bivol version was the best but the first GGG fight was Peak Canelo. I would loved to have seen the GGG that beat Canelo fight The Bivol that beat Canelo.

What did Canelo do to GGG that would frighten SOG. Kovalev was a much more intimidating fight and he took that no problem.

Crawford. The Canelo Bivol fought was the same stylewise, but his preparation seemed worse and he gassed very quickly (though some of that might’ve just been what Bivol was making him do).

That first L is always special. The first hard fight. Floyd still ups DM.
