    Leonard
    Benitez
    Hearns

He went 1-4 against the smartest boxers he faced. He did not like movers or technicians.

I didn't say Duran was dumb. Reading comprehension.

I said he struggled with smart boxers, and he did. Leonard beat him using his brain and technique in the rematches.

Crawford's pitty pat movement against the plodder clash royale boulder that Canelo is in 2025 would not work against the Duran who traumatized Carlos Palomino, whom is still claiming he beat Duran decades later, or completely nullified Leonard's gameplan to the point that a narrative was created where he conveniently forgot all of his boxing experience & iq to "stand and brawl" with the Macho.

Since you’re referencing a fight that happened when Crawford was 37 AND fighting at a weight other than the one proposed in the thread, Then can I bring up the great Kirkland Laing ?

And I never thought you said that either.

What I meant was that if a smarter fighter than Crawford like Ray Leonard would get beaten and outsmarted by Duran in their first fight, then how is he not able to outsmart Crawford. Their rematches, especially the second one was more on Duran not being in shape as the scorecards weren't that wide before he quit.

I disagree with it, but it’s better than thinking Benitez would beat Mayweather and Crawford.

No surprise really. Duran's victory over Leonard in Montreal '80 is arguably the greatest victory in all of boxing history.
