Hell I've sparred LHWs as a heavyweight and been lit up like a Christmas tree before. A few inches height means sweet FA, and often the bigger you are the harder the fall.

Yeah this argument went out of hand, it’s not facts that the bigger guy will always win every time and I never said that either, I said that AJ is too big for Jai. Jai is not Usyk that’s a master boxer with a lot of movements, sure he might have enough power to keep most heavyweight honest but I think in the end he will be over powered. Jai doesn’t have the skill that Usyk has, the strength/toughness Holyfield had or the explosive 1 punch KO power Haye had.

But, this whole argument started because some insecure midget felt hurt about the fact that it’s obvious that the bigger guy have an advantage, that’s why we have weight classes.

I would disagree he's not too big for Jai at all. He can do much better than a 40 year old Povetkin and probably takes a better punch

Opetaia is getting way overhyped. Good wins against a well past prime (but not shot) Breidis. I had the first fight a draw.

But he's beaten noone else in the CW top 20. His resume is very thin. And he looked a bit one dimensional in the second Breidis fight and quite easy to hit.

He seems a nice lad and is fun to watch but I'm not expecting him to do much at HW tbh if he goes there.

He might have more of a chance now that AJ got koed by Daniel but its not a good or even decent chance. CW to HW is the most difficult weight jump in boxing for a reason. He's the best cruiser in the world but I dont expect much of him at heavy

I'm picking Opetaia against current Joshua because I'm a fan and I'm nit sure what Joshua has left in the tank atm, he could be washed for all we know.

Also people are consistently underestimating Opetaia's size, he said he walks around at ~220lbs and stays in shape between fights. He is naturally bigger than a prime Holyfield, he just doesn't look it without the steroid muscles.

He is at least the same height as a bunch of current heavyweights who fought at the top level, Ruiz, Kabayel, Chisora, Povetkin etc, just with a bunch less fat.

If he wanted to size up for heavyweight I have no doubt that he could get up to ~240ish without just getting fat like a lot of heavyweights. The guy is Samoan, and Polynesians on average have a higher lean mass and bone density than most peoples.

Look at Parker as an example, for most of his career he was around ~240, but with proper S&C for the first time in his career he blew up to ~270 and was just as lean as at 240.

Anyway a bit of rant, but I don't think we should write Opetaia of at heavyweight just because of his size.

Realistically I don't feel like we have enough info to call this fight, we don't know what state Joshua is currently in or how Opetaia looks at heavyweight.

I think a prime Joshua, or if he is near enough, can use his jab to keep Opetaia at bay and eventually time him coming in as Opetaia has been caught there before and looked vulnerable.

Also though Opetaia could adapt to the weight well, he may be draining himself at Cruiser so could have a stamina and chin boost at heavyweight. Plus if his power carries up he could definitely cause problems for Joshua, especially if he shows Joshua his power early.

Any fighter who can hit is a threat to Joshua, Opetaia would force Joshua to give up...

All overrating Opetaia (who?) and underrating Joshua is so funny. This forum is crazy AF. Remember Joshua got KO'd by one of the hardest hitters in the HEAVYWEIGHT division (and maybe the HARDEST), by a 105kg+ full lean muscle tank like himself. NOT by a pillow fisted flyweight. This Opetaia guy is not David Haye or Usyk. He going down with the first right hand hit flush, just as the one that staggered Dubouis just before AJ getting KO'd. I ain't no AJ fan. In fact, I hate him. But it seems that you people might as well claim hell Jake Paul beats Joshua. Give the man his respect for f's sake.

Are you talking about Andy Ruiz? Because he would be smaller than Opetaia if he lost the fat. And we don't know yet, but Opetaia could eat like Andy and blow up to that size if he moved to heavyweight.

Opetaia is already ~100kgs and he is fast, good movement, throws every punch with intent and can keep it up for 12 rounds. Dubois/Ruiz haven't been sending anyone to the hospital (except themselves), but Opetaia has, and that is him cutting to Cruiserweight before he even puts on mass for Heavyweight.. He would give both Cruiserweight Usyk and Haye a hard fight.

What Ruiz lol. It reads "full lean muscle". You can read between the lines? It literally says Dubois. Forget Dubois, I'd even bet my salary on Andy Ruiz that beat Joshua that night to put Opetaia to sleep. According to you, probs Ituama is the goat.
