It doesn't matter. Clearly the mere prospect of GGG coming back and one upping Canelo has you all hot and bothered, and you have no desire to see it. There's a reason for that, because deep down, you know what I'm saying has some truth to it.:sisi1

What I would add about a potential GGG vs Bud fight is that, anything can happen. GGG might get outboxed round after round but all it takes is one shot, and I'm not convinced Bud has a great chin. I think Canelo or maybe even GGG are more than capable of hurting Crawford with their vastly more powerful hands. But you can't show Crawford the kind of respect that Canelo showed him if you intend on KOing him. And GGG hasn't exactly shown a desire to KO people over the last 10 or so years. If GGG can't KO Bud, if he struggled to land clean on Canelo in their first fight 8 years ago, why would we expect him to be able to against an even more slippery and rangey Bud and a Bud with no reason to engage. At least Canelo the first time managed to retreat but then turn around and get into a firefight towards the end.

I just think at this stage Canelo is better suited to close that distance and land a big shot on Bud than GGG. If we're talking GGG from 12 or 13 years ago, then maybe it's GGG. But Canelo is far closer to his best than GGG appears to be. You might argue that a pre-Canelo Prime GGG would be better suited to beat Bud (perhaps even by decision and volume punching rather than big punching) but now it would be a big ask for GGG. But like I said, if it happens I'm all for it. I would love to see 40 something GGG get into ring with Bud. It would be a huge fight.

I don't know about hot and bothered, but it's definitely something to talk about.

GGG looked very pedestrian in his most recent fight which was a while back. He also looked like crap in the 3rd Canelo fight although he came on strong in the last few rounds.

If he has lost a step or two it's quite possible Bud outboxes him as badly as he outbound Canelo.

    I'd favor Bud right now.

Not sure about now but Prime GGG would leave Bud for dead in the ring.

He is old and inactive if he does go through with a comeback I would hope that he takes a soft touch tune up first to see where he is at but he would likely go straight for Crawford. Obviously a prime GGG would beat Crawford but he is going to be slower. If his jab is still good I wouldn't totally count him out as he will need to use it to land a power shot. GGG is one of the biggest punchers of all time he has literally broken peoples faces so Crawford would have to be wary of his punches more than he was for Canelo.

Personally, I think Bud should move down to 160 and fight GGG there, but he should take on Alimkhanuly as his warm up.

    Win win for GGG

He wins, he has all 4 belts

He loses, he’s 43 and was past his best

GGG is risking his first stoppage loss if he comes back at 44 to face Crawford

The irony of triple G coming back and scalping all four belts formerly from the dude who should’ve lost to him at least once or twice would be hysterical to me.

He is shot to pieces. He turned down Lara for a reason and Crawford will land at will with no genuine resistance.
