Canelo gets outboxed decisively over 12 rounds by a generational great, and suddenly, although he has never come close to hitting the canvas once, he gets knocked out by Sheeraz? A Euro-level 168 fighter who got comfortably beaten by Adames at 160 and didn't have him in trouble once? Nothing like a recent loss for people to totally underrate your skillset.

    Canelo has no more legs

    No more punch creativity

Fights in patterns and loads up too much

Stamina is not the issue. Running out of ideas is.

That was meant to be read in the intonation of
    “He beat Joe Louis’s Arse…” (a joke)

    But since you asked
he Went the distance with Canelo
& sheeraz smoked Berlanga more convincingly.
I know it’s a triangle theory & styles make fights but it’s also a common opponent which does bring intrigue & asks the question what would happen if Sheeraz fought Canelo? Interesting.

I would like to see canelo vs sheeraz. I can't stand sheeraz, he's a hypejob the size of alaska, I would enjoy watching him drooling on the canvas.

Went the distance and lost every round. He didn't even deserve a shot at Canelo.

Berlanga has only beaten literal good journeyman at best really.

    For sure
I’m not making a case for Bumlanga’s resume or giving credence to his career….
I’m saying a sheeraz vs Canelo showdown is intriguing from the common opponent angle.

and tbh I believe Turki was angling for sheeraz to fight canelo by lining him up with Berlanga.

True, I said that after the Lara fight. Lara finished that fight just as fresh as he started. Either those bodyshots landed on elbow or he has a Lil more pop then malignaggi. Maybe both

If Hamzah stopped Canelo how much would that devalue Crawford win?

Even a fading Canelo would turn Sheeraz into target practice for 12 rounds. Sheeraz has terrible ring IQ, footwork and zero head movement, especially for someone wanting to compete at the top end of the division. He's a nasty KO waiting to happen. The Adames fight showed us everything about how Sheeraz will do when he fights an actual legit world-level guy.

Knocking out an absolute tomato can like Berlanga has helped to pave over some of these cracks, but there are levels to the game, and Sheeraz will find that out brutally, unless Bricktop manages him carefully, which is also a possibility.

Hamzah has had a poor performance against a worse opponent and moved up in a weight and performed much better before. I’d say he was really struggling to make the weight tbh

100% and I think Hamzah won't stay at 168 for that long too, 175lbs in a few fights

I reckon Turki will be having buyer’s remorse purchasing the cement footed Mexican!
