How would Benny Leonard do against Hearns? Benny arguably beat the top 2 welters of his era, Jack Britton and Ted ‘Kid’ Lewis. He also packed some power in his own right. Would he do better than Duran?
I doubt it. The "best" case scenario that I can foresee for him is that he simply gets outboxed from long range.

Love Benny, I think he's the 6th greatest fighter ever and the real GOAT Lightweight. Hearns demolishes him. You do not survive a power punching demon with incredible hand speed that has 8 inches of height and 9 inches of reach on you. Especially if you're coming up to fight him.
Hearns never looked better than at 154 against Duran who was over the hill. We’d have to blow Benny up to 154 as well. I can’t see a prime Hearns losing to any blown up past prime lightweight.
