Historically head to head, who's the best fighter George Foreman defeats.?
Seeing as he had two separate careers, tell us the best he beats in both.?

Lewis but realistically he could beat anyone if he caught them.

    Young George imo beats
    Marciano
    Dempsey
    Wlad Klitschko
    Vitali Klitschko
    50/50fights are
    Tyson
    Lewis
    Holmes
    Holyfield

    Older George is harder.
Still think he beats Marciano and possibly Joe Frazier again.
But he was so much slower by then and a lot of the guys on the list will take advantage of that.
The young George is never getting out boxed by Moorer.

Anything could happen with those heavy hands of his. No one past or present would be completely safe from a KO against Foreman.

But in terms of who I'd have the most confidence in him beating amongst the elites, I'd give him at least a 60% chance of beating Holmes Prime vs Prime.

He’d have a punchers chance against almost anybody. On the right night he MIGHT have caught Joe Louis at an opportune time

There hasn't been a fighter born I'd favor against 70s Foreman. You could argue for this guy or that guy but whose winning a 10 fight series with George Foreman?

I don't think he has just a punchers chance against anyone. Hes not Deontay Wilder. He was much more then a puncher.

One of the reasons I have Foreman as my HW GOAT is I have Louis above Ali and I just can't see Louis beating Foreman under any circumstances. Foreman might have both the most power of any HW champ and the best chin. Its hard to see Louis getting around that. Louis was hard to knock out but not that hard to put down. If Louis got 10-8'd he wouldn't make that up on the scorecards he made it up by knocking out the guy quick before he could do any more damage. In Foremans case neither of those things are going to happen.

There weren't 10-8s when Louis fought but its for the sake of argument. If there had been 10-8s the only fight it would have mattered was in Walcott I because otherwise he got the job done long before it got to that point.

I think Alis actual win over Foreman is a fluke like how it happened but Ali and Jimmy Young are the perfect guy to beat Foreman. Similar size, amazing chins and among the most skilled HWs ever. Foremans comeback suggests that very few guys could have outpointed prime Foreman except those 2. Ezzard Charles who beat "powered down" Louis might be in that class as a pure boxer but hes too small and not very durable.
