He fought Brook because Eubank lost his pen, not because he wanted to be like Canelo.

That's the fact. Eubank could have had it but he couldn't make his mark on a piece of paper.

It looks like the only fight out there at 168 for Crawford. I'd actually like to see it. Like you say, if GGG is in good shape, he's still got the power to knock Crawford, the **** out!

Sounds like you don’t like Bud, that’s your problem, he’s also 37 and looking to cash out and stay undefeated. Can’t blame him.

you’re comparing Clenelo to DB, lol

This fight is definitely happening. Who else will Bud fight at 168 for big money and less risk? No one.

How do you suppose present-day GGG would do against Crawford ?

As a big fan of GGG. I see this, as a win/win opportunity. To be completely transparent, I have never watched GGG/Canelo 3 and probably won't. Even a very diminished GGG, I don't see him getting beaten up badly by Crawford and if he puts in a good or better than expected performance, it's good for his legacy. It's pretty obvious that only Golovkin fanboys ( of which, I am one ) give him immense praise anymore. The vast majority of boxing pundits bag his resume and undermine his historical standing, so legacy wise, he has nothing to lose by taking the fight plus him and Crawford will get a lot richer. Also with the recent, Crawford GOAT talk ( which is insane) Golovkin will come looking good with a half decent showing.

what the casuals don’t understand is that if this fight is made, there’s no loser in the situation. If Golovkin takes a loss, he’s 43. If Crawford takes a loss, he took on a much larger and stronger opponent. It’s a big win-win for both fighters.

I want to see it, I hope you are right and that it happens. I don't see any attractive fights out there for Crawford except this one.

There were rumors they were gonna maybe fight last year, but the rumors didn’t go far. Now with Crawford having all four belts and Golovkin reportedly getting the itch to return, it makes perfect sense.

What a crock of ****. Lara was never a serious candidate to face 3G when 3G was looking to unify 160. Since calling out 3G for near 10 years, he never made a real effort to get the fight. Just social media call outs.

When Lara was beltless, he could have moved to 160 any time to get ranked.
