GGG rumors of a comeback are ignited

Not hurt not even stunned but in regards to the big shots that Crawford was able to land on Canelo, like that left hook or the one in the 11th when Canelo shook his head after it like WTF was that, those being better and more impactful than any shot GGG landed on Canelo in the first fight, or in any of the 3 fights.

The caveat I would say would be that Canelo was far more cautious of GGG's power than he was of Crawford's power and thus had much more head movement and (in the first fight) an elusive style against GGG that made it hard for GGG to land those kind of shots. But the point I was making stands, the kind of shots Crawford landed on Canelo seemed to be better and more impactful than what GGG was able to land on Canelo.

 

Well, the 40 + Super middleweight version of GGG Is a formidable foe for anybody, Just because he is GGG, but he lost 7-5 to 8-4 technically and accurately. So a lopsided 9-3 loss to Crawford could be what to expect. But you never know.

 

I was content with him being retired. But 168lbs needs to be his weight if he returns. He was pretty slow in his last fight. He needed to get his punches going. He seemed like he could do serious damage if he let his hands go. It was a frustrating fight.

 

Look, prime for prime I would pick Golovkin every time. His biggest strength was his amazing timing and jab. A 43 Golovkin has nothing to trouble Crawford. He's slowed down far too much for his timing to play a part. He definitely does not beat Crawford at this stage of his career.

 

Agree. The only time Golovkin was fast was in the amateurs and in the early years of his pro career fighting nobodies. Being slow is a death sentence especially if the other guy combines speed and skill. GGG was really slow in Canelo 3.

Prime for prime I would take GGG by KO.

Slow starts were a problem in all 3 Canelo fights.

 

If Golovkin didn't start slower in the first fight, Canelo might not have won a round. I had the fight 9-3 Golovkin. The slow start was really in fight number 3.

Canelo was putting on a boxing clinic in the early rounds of the first fight.
