Incredibly, this is somewhat accurate minus number of clean punches taken.

He mounted no offense. His arsenal was shoulder rolls and more shoulder rolls. I miss the guy who said he could beat George Foreman.

He wasn't fast enough to mount much of anything. RJJ a different level. He was a nightmare at his best. It's no huge shame getting schooled so badly by him.

Jones chin . He became more stationary at that weight and Toney could catch him .Jones always said himself that he was no heavyweight

Stationary Jones was still about 10x more mobile James “Obese King” Toney.

Around that time Roy got knocked out cold by Tarver and Johnson. We are not talking mid 90s here.

Yeah when he stupidly tried to drain down to LHW and messed up his body, at HW he still had his physical capabilities and would trickshot Toney to death imo.

it had nothing to do with weight loss IMO: Remember he did beat Tarver the first time.

He beat Tarver in a terrible match that was actually quite close. He didn’t look the same from that match alone.

It is interesting you know, But IMO Jones downfall was more related to age and deteriorated reflexes/mobiliy than weight loss. At heavyweight Jones mobility would be particularly reduced and he did not have the chin. So it is possible Toney could catch him there. Yet, in his prime Roy beats Toney (even in top shape), Tarver and Johnson quite comfortably by UD. Roy's style is difficult for Toney.

At his best yes.. I am talking about the deteriorated older version of Roy who fought Ruiz and soon after that was knocked out twice.

I do not see this as a strong point, Toney he was older by then and heavier than against Holyfield. he also drew with Rahman and most thought he beat Peter in the first fight.
