Whatever you think of Eddie Hearn...it's very hard not to enjoy him getting endlessly schooled by CE Jr He gets right under his skin and Eddie can't bare it. Tries very hard not to show it, but fails
It is but I just wish Eubank would have let him say a few things about Hatton. Hearn has now massivly got people on his side over this and deflect all the bull**** from Hearn and Benn.
Me personally I don't think this will really harm CEJ moving forward, most people will see through the Hearn propaganda and know he was/is trying to make CEJ look like the villain. If Eddie really wanted to say something nice about Ricky he has lots of outlets he could have used before and not the press conference of 2 bitter rivals and knowing that CEJ doesn't like him talking at pressers. He knew full well that CEJ would try stop him talking and then tried to use that moment to state it was going to be about hatton. Why not say before it started... Hey Chris can we put our BS to the side for a minute I want to say something quickly about Hatton then you can go back to hating me... He didn't because it was all planned
Hearn was defo using Hatton to get to eubank, however, all news outlets and casuals will side with Hearn as it's risky to say Hearn was using Hatton's death etc, in this woke world people would be too scared to side with Eubank even though Hearn was using Hatton.
Nonsense. It showed what a lowlife SCUMBAG Eddie Hearn is trying to use the recently deceased Ricky Hatton (RIP) in a game of one-upmanship.
It's mind boggling how stupid some boxing media figures and boxing fans are. To not be able to see what Hearn was trying to do.
Agree but they're the nuggets Hearn appeals to. They'd already had a tribute and he only thought of these words he wanted to say once Eubank wouldn't let him speak. Scumbag.
In what way is he being schooled by Eubank? Hearn dominated the coverage afterwards (as he was always going to) - Eubank played right to his strengths. The casuals coverage afterwards was all about Hearn saying he'd sue Eubank for a retraction etc. This far out from a fight it makes absolutely zero difference to PPV, people buy them in the last few days and you can bet Matchroom will be feeding BBC and ITV easy fluff stories at that point, bringing in the dads etc. This ws safe limelight for Hearn knowing it's all about his ego and won't have any effect on the promotion. Like most early pressers he organises.
Eubank is doing an incredible job of making Hearn expose himself as the arrogant ago driven narcissist he really is, he has come across worse than ever during this buildup. No self awareness, ranting and raving like he is getting the upper hand. He couldn't just sit there and stay quiet, he had to engineer a trick to enable himself to get a word in by using Hatton's tragic death. It was transparent, they had a spat earlier, so he had to know Eubank wouldn't just sit there and allow him make any tribute, it was not the time. When he shut Hearn down I though it was absolutely hilarious, it was like he couldn't believe Chris had the balls to do it, but again he was proved wrong on that.
Exactly the only reason Eddie brought Ricky's name up, was because he was craving for attention and the spotlight and he thought that would allow CEJ to give him some time to talk. He is that one dimensional, a true ego maniac and every situation needs to be all about him. He is the world's first boxing promoter, who promotes himself more than he promotes the boxers who risk their health in the ring for our entertainment. No one actually thinks that Eddie gives a **** about Ricky Hatton or his kids and family.
Glad people on here can see through the Hearn/Hatton thing. Hearn wanted control of the press conference because Eubank was embarrassing him and tried using a dead bloke in order to do so. The man is an absolute scumbag.
