Was it Tyson fury coming back from depression and obesity? Was it Ali from exile? Or was it Tyson from prison? Instead Who do you got in all aspects of the game when it comes to the greatest comeback ever? Please provide other
Foreman becoming champion at 45, hasn't been done before or since. I would say Fury is second. Fury had to overcome himself and addiction, which is no easy feat. That will always be a greater victory than any he ever could have won in the ring. Ali and Leonard had great comebacks too.
Foreman Came back after 10 years out and climbed his way back to the top and stayed there whilst remaining competitive against people 20 years his junior
Oleg Maskaev had been knocked out multiple times, and then came back to win a world title. Everybody wrote Wladimir Klitschko off after his third stoppage loss, then he came back to dominate the heavyweight with one of the longest championship runs in heavyweight history. Jim Braddock was written off by everybody after a series of losses, then came back to win the world heavyweight title.
Craig Bodzianowski comes to mind. Local guy. Lost his leg in a motorcycle accident. Ending up challenging for the cruiserweight title. Most being mentioned were names who were great, and then they fell off, and then they made a big comeback. Bodzianowski achieved all his success after he lost his leg and came back from that.
Foreman hands down in my opinion Jofre was pretty incredible and kind of unheard of for that time period and lower weight class I always thought Randall Bailey who won a world title in the 90s coming back to win a world title in like 2012 was impressive as well, not on the level of Jofre or Foreman though
Fury just because of round 12 being symbolic of his journey to that point. He shouldn't have got back up but he did. Couldn't have wrote it. This content is protected
Honorable Mention: Frankie Duarte Memorable comeback from years of drug and alcohol abuse to avenge KO loss to Alberto Davilia and lose a controversial decision to WBA champ Bernardo Pinango.
