Why is Vitali a favorite over his more accomplished brother Wladimir h2h

Mainly due to a much better chin.

More willing to take risks and get hit in order to land his shots which often led to more fan friendly fights.

 

Yeah, it's because there's a cult around Vitali as though he's indestructible even though he didn't get nailed with the clean bombs that Wlad did (Sanders, Brewster, AJ) and even when Sanders landed one short hook, Vitali was running across the ring.
Wlad fought more dangerous opposition, and the shared opponents were more dangerous when Wlad fought them typically.

It's very likely Wlad would KO Vitali. Wlad can absolutely take hits from Vitali and survive as Vitali can't punch for his size. Vitali's hands down defence would leave him open to bombs from someone his size, look how easily Lewis found his face. Wlad is better than Lewis and would likely land his bombs and Vitali would be KO'd.

People have this idea Wlad can't take any punches which is ridiculous. He can absolutely take Vitali arm punches, just like everyone else did for 10rounds before getting stopped on their feet.

 

Vitali was much tougher mentally with a much better chin.

I was at the Lewis fight, no quit in the terminator.

 

I don't think being sparked out by three very mediocre opponents equates to being more accomplished. Vitali was never down in his career and his two losses were not incurred through the traditional means of being bested. He was superb, while Wladimir was not.

 

True Vitali doesn't have Wlad's losses because he has a much better chin which is in his corner. Wlad definitely achieved more though.

Take for a example Wlad won 10 more world title fights and was on top a lot longer.

 

Because people are fake hardcores, Vitali could maybe beat Wlad but he absolutely doesn’t rank over him h2h in general.

 

Eye test fallacy, also, a myth that he never lost to an actual opponent.

 

Because styles make fights...

 

Was he ever behind in any of his fights or was that another myth that benefited him?

 

Higher Ring IQ - Wlad was very good at what he did, but bad at adapting and making mid-fight adjustments. Needed to be overly set to punch, otherwise he just grabs. Vitai punches on the move and throws from various unorthodox angles.

Tougher- Vitali has show more willingness to scrap if needed. Overall meaner.

Chin- Vitali has a strong punch resistance. Wlad gets flustered when hit.

Better stamina - Vitali is more relaxed in there, and allows him greater stamina.

Bigger brother - years of dominating your little bro gives you that mental edge.
