Vitali thought if he named his fist after metal it would be just as potent as Wlad's, pretty sad really.

I think Fury has a bit more power, actually. Reason is he's one-punched a few actual contenders. Also he stopped Chisora on attrition fighting off the backfoot (and southpaw) and Vitali couldn't do it.

Vitali looks like he's really trying to hurt people with the arm punches but it's just slow death really. When Fury is boxing defensively he's obviously not throwing his hardest and so it makes sense the punches aren't huge.

Fury would 'clown' Vitali as the Muricans say. Wlad was way more fluid and had no idea how to deal with Fury. Vitali would be clueless trying to hit a moving target and who wasn't 6'1.

Vitali. He has close to 90% ko rate with his 'arm punches'.

Probably Vitali, but they are both not that hard of punchers.

The fella with a 90% KO ratio or the fella who couldn't put a dent in Francis Ngannou for 10 rounds?

Anyone with some heart and durability who didn't get injured took Vitali to the 8th or beyond. Charr, Solis, Norris, Kirk Johnson and Hide were his best wins on paper inside that, usually if not always via injury or quitjob. His most impressive stoppages statistically were in the 10th and 11th over Donald and Bean.

Fury TKO'd Wilder and had Cunningham counted out inside 7, one-punched Whyte inside 6. Made Chisora quit and messed him up facially far more than Vitali did, despite Vitali landing more according to Compubox (150 for Fury, 211 for Vitali). Their other mutual opponent Kevin said Fury hit harder than Vitali or his other opponents (despite Fury trashing him in the buildup), for what that's worth.

Vitali's stoppage ratio is smoke and mirrors. He turned pro at 25 to Fury's 20 and fought very limited opposition prior to his 28th against Byrd. Fury often didn't go for the KO or take fights against journeymen seriously.

Woah, this thread title seemed laughable on first thought "Lol, Vitali, duh..."

But on second thought, I'm not so sure about that... Fury has a few one punch KOs or one good shot leading to a KO, even if he's not known for his power.. I can't think of many Vitali stoppages that weren't more due to accumulation , despite his high KO ratio.. A big reason why Fury isn't known for his power is his versatility - he's got pretty good pop when he needs it. He rattled Usyk too which is something not many can say.

Also, Fury ICEd iron tough Deontay before he gave up on boxing - which is quite the feat.

Vitali. Vitali’s whole gameplan was to grind a fighter down and stop them by the 7th or 8th round but when he threw with authority it was devastating. Fury is feather fisted for his size.

People seem to not know that Vitali sat on his punches a lot more before the first retirement.

Imagine Fury coming back at 38 and after four years off to make a prime Sam Peter quit.

I would say Vitali punches harder, even though he doesn't have that one punch power, he was powerful enough to crush his opponents and stop them before the final bell...

What I think Fury does better is to set up his opponent to walk into stuff. Vitali sort of grinds away whereas Fury is better with timing and causing an opponent to make mistakes.
