Jesus. Imagine a night out with Degale and McGregor.

Sounds absolutely punch drunk and he used to be fairly sharp and eloquent from what I remember

WTF! Never did I expect to hear someone refer to James DeGale as eloquent.

Just caught the replay of James DeGale’s BKB debut. Pleased he got the win, but honestly he looked shot to pieces — I’d say even that lad off Geordie Shore is 50/50 with him at this stage.

And how bad must Mosley have been to lose a boxing match to Floyd?

Think it’s only really safe if the ex-pros fight each other or the Z-list celeb types. Anything beyond that and they’re just going to get blasted out by the steroid junkies. Some of those knockouts on the show were absolutely brutal.

Didn’t watch but saw a clip with him after and not only does he sound punchy as hell but he also doesn’t seem all there either.

    Shock Bellew was hanging around.

Pathetic Bellew fighting to get on camera. Horrible fight. Awful post fight. Everyone trying to grab the mic. McGregor off his nut. Degale talking like a confused old man. Give me the noble art any day. Better spectacle, a proper sport. Won't be watching again.

Back in the day, Conor McGregor was a self-promoting genius, especially around the Aldo fight, which he then leveraged all the way to the Mayweather millions. But since the cash rolled in it’s been a steady decline — he’s a shadow of his prime now, just a caricature.

End of the fight he’s shoving Proper Twelve cans, or whatever it’s called, at Chunky like some tacky advert. Pathetic.

And Dee? She’s stuck at home, churning out the kids, while he’s out living it up and promising to marry her one day. I think even he knows she’d be gone the second he ever actually walked her down the aisle.

Money and fame twist and do strange things to people — and McGregor’s further proof that he was always really an ******* beneath the surface.

As for Bellew, if he was telling DeGale anything other than “you had a go, but that’s it”… then WTF was he even doing there? Egging him on or encouraging him is, and was, the last thing he needed.

What a mess — and those earlier fights, with the brutal knockouts, had that car-crash, accident-waiting-to-happen feel about them, which undoubtedly will keep the casuals locked in.

He was the absolute antithesis of eloquence. That's what makes the comment funny.

You’re right. 2013-15 he was almost untouchable. Now he’s just an overweight alcoholic screaming down the mic whilst seemingly off his head most of the time.

I’ve never seen any fighter mentally break another like McGregor did to Aldo and it wasn’t even with aggression either. He looked petrified when the fight was about to start.

Yup — Aldo was done before the bell even rang. He came in raging, overextended, and it was lights out. McGregor had systematically broken him down in the build-up, and with the original date getting cancelled it only added to it — but the build-up was gold.

At that weight, Conor looked like a different person at the weigh-in — absolutely massive compared to Aldo and others at the weight.

Now he’s almost like a tribute act doing an impression of himself. On a downward trajectory, destined to blow up and burn out. I honestly can’t ever see him fighting again — his ego couldn’t handle another defeat.

But he still craves the adulation and attention. At Dubois v Joshua he was desperate for the cameras to catch him, sat behind Turki — one minute cheering Dubois, the next Joshua — big unlit cigar in his mouth.

    Complete bellend.

That episode of Ringside honestly deserves a BAFTA. Lost count of how many times I’ve watched it over the years — never fails to crack me up. And you’re right, DeGale’s no different all these years later.

Degale should stay away from that after tonight.
That guy was just a thug any decent Bk fighter would put Degales lights out he's almost 40 as well does he really need this?

Just saw some highlights and it was absolutely terrible. Good job Degale wasn't fighting anyone with a bit about them or it would have been another Frankie Gavin. The bloke clearly shouldn't be fighting, it was sad to watch.

As for Conor McGregor, by amazing coincidence his performances took a nose dive once the UFC started getting serious about drug testing. That was also when he stopped somehow making 145lbs.
