Mike Tysons opponents pre-prison had better fundamentals than most of the fighters today.
    Dubois is not beating
    Tucker,Ruddock,Old Man Holmes

I think Tucker's height and chin might have been too much for Dubois and Douglas might have out-jabbed him.

Tubbs hand speed might have been too much for Dubois, and Ruddock might have had too much power.

I concur. He may not get past Thomas or Douglas either.

Dubois could fall at the first hurdle vs Berbick unless he got him out of there early. Because if Berbick is allowed to get into the fight then it would be a very rough night for Dubois who can wilt under pressure.

If Dubois did get past Berbick then he would have to fight Bonecrusher next who was a crude slugger yes. But he had power and was durable and I'm not sure Dubois could win a brawl vs Bonecrusher.

Realistically Dubois doesn't get anywhere near to achieving Tyson's 10 world title wins in the 80s.

Not even sure Dubois beats Ribalta (he certainly doesn't have anywhere near Ribalta's heart). I would make him the underdog against Berbick, and, every fighter after that.

What specialty did Ruddock have except a telegraphed left hook/uppercut? He lost to David Jaco too.

Holmes got knocked down by both Renaldo Snipes and Shavers. Dubois hits harder than both of them, so he's definitely got a shot.

Looking at Berbick fighting his punching technique looked jittery and weird, Dubois could very well KO him.

And I would highly favor Dubois against Tubbs and Tucker (and Mitch Green and Frank Bruno).

I don't think he hits harder than Shavers. Virtually everyone who fought Shavers said he hit harder than anyone they had ever faced. I don't see folks saying the same thing about Dubois other than him having a powerful jab.

Not a chance he hits harder than Shavers.

Bruno is another one who would trouble Dubois. Bruno did better vs Lewis than I can ever imagine Dubois doing and I'd wager that Bruno, in an ultimately losing effort would do better against Usyk than Dubois did .

Shavers was around 210 lb. and fought in a very different era. Jerry Quarry tko'd Shavers in a round too.

Bruno was so stiff though... Baby Miller is as fast as a lump, but Dubois actually had decent footwork and good combinations in that fight.

Dubois can move around and throw decent combos, but his defensive skills are questionable.

Almost every good opponent Tyson beat possessed a quality that could potentially trouble Dubois.

Thats not to say he wouldnt beat any of them, but he would take several losses.
