    It's official !

Thammanoon Niyomtrong "Knockout CP Freshmart," former WBA World Champion at Minimumweight & current WBC Asian Minimumweight Champion , 35 years old, 28-1-0 (11 KOs), will challenge Carlos Canizales "CCC," 32 years old, 28-3-1 (20 KOs) for the WBC Light Flyweight championship (108 lbs)!

December 4th in Bangkok! This will be Thammanoon Niyomtrong's second fight at Light Flyweight & it's likely his last, as the Thai boxer is nearing the end of his career... It's quite curious to see Panya Pradabsri & Thammanoon Niyomtrong end their careers, probably against the same opponent. It's quite curious too to see Canizales accept the challenge after the scorecards were quite wide and he was a bit robbed in Bangkok during his first fight against Panya Pradabsri.

    Any relation to Orlando Canizales?

    Please excuse my ignorance.

I’ll try to catch this one!

You would think Canizales would have learned his lesson the last time he fought in Thailand. I'm pretty sure the Thais won't be shy to rob him again and take away his belt. However I reckon Carlos will again come with the same venom and ferocity he had against Panya in the rematch, and this doesn't bode well for Freshmart.

In Freshmart's credit, this is his fourth fight this year and arguably against the toughest fighter in the division. This will be an awesome. I just hope there isn't any funny business again.

They must be offered Carlos lots of money to go there again, or he's confident in getting a KO or he's just dumb. If the fight goes the distance there's not a chance in hell Canizales will win.

Well Petchyndee have the money for make their boxers very high we can remember recently all the world championships : Anuchai Donsua, Tasana Salapat, Panya Pradabsri, Niyomtrong...

I don't think that Canizales will be robbed again this time... Niyomtrong don't have the same chin than Panya Pradabsri, he is more skilled in defense but he declined very much...

Can't wait for the unification at 108 lbs Thanongsak Simsri "Phetkoson" (IBF) vs Carlos Canizales(WBC) if the Thais want to have a chance to take the revenge for the retirement of Panya Pradabsri. But it's not sure... because Thanongsak is at Greensuda Boxing Gym (in Osaka) he is not a Pertchyndee boxer like Niyomtrong & Panya Pradabsri.

This will be the main event of the WBC Convention in Bangkok. So I hope this means everything will be fair.

Pulling for Carlos Canizales to win this. Guy is not afraid to go to the opponents backyard. A real road warrior.
