Agreed Janibek would give him an ass whipping. Agree about it being like a Jake Paul fight. I even said before the fight that Canelo Crawford was a circus fight with no bearing on the landscape of boxing.

Sticking to those around MW size and up, if Bud thought he could really be a top fighter at MW+ he would have gone up there in his prime.

    Golovkin KO Bud
    Saunders UD or TKO Bud
    Callum Smith KO Bud
    Ryder UD or TKO Bud
    Draino Kovalev KO Bud
Draino Jacobs UD or TKO Bud
Draino inactive Chavez and draino Fielding, I guess Bud UD's them? I guess there's two he might get.

Point is everyone is so sure Bud could beat these characters but he himself didn't believe it. That should tell you something. Even Saunders, the weakest puncher of that lot, dropped Lee and hurt Lemieux, he hits harder than all the Postols and Khans and Brooks and so on that Bud is used to. And Bud's power wouldn't trouble any of these fighters.

Crawford has had all of 2 fights above 147 in his entire career

The first of which a razor-close decision vs an 11 fight Madrimov who was making a huge leap up in class in his country with a stacked deck of a home ref, 2 home judges, 1 neutral, which even 2 of them only scored to him by a point

The other vs a badly faded Clenelo who hadn't stopped anyone in four years despite having spent his entire reign cherrypicking, who was a very favourable stylistic match up for him and even in his prime always struggled badly vs a certain style, and who even though Crawford was jumping up 2 divisions after making a pitstop at 154 from 147 and Clenelo has been campaigning at 168 or above for six years, was pretty much the same size as him with a much shorter reach

Crawford's fans must think incredibly highly of Madrimov and even higher of Vergil Ortiz after he beat Madrimov, right?

Again, Crawford is a great fighter, one of the most skilful in the world, and I rate him highly and I've never picked him to lose a fight and the fighter I gave the best chance of doing so came the closest to doing so and did in many people's opinions. But that being said, he hasn't beaten a prime 160 or 168 pounder or had to face a single prime 160 or 168 pounder who was fresh, who was not on a four year KO drought vs cherrypicks, and was not a very stylistically favourable match up for him.

I would favour Crawford to beat everyone Clenelo beat at 140, 147, and 154 sans maybe Melon Head Miguel. I'm not saying I'd favour Melon Head Miguel but that would be a very interesting fight and I see a prime Melo Head being the best fighter he would ever have fought. FTR, I though Melon Head vs a prime Clenelo was a close very competitive fight and those wide scorecards were a disgrace.

But of the guys Clenelo beat at 160-175 I think there are a bunch of them who would either beat him, potentially could, or I'm not certain he'd beat

GGG and even that version of Kovalev would both knock him out and that's not a knock on Crawford.

Callum Smith is massive, a skilled big puncher with a good chin, and a 78'' reach, 4'' longer than Crawford's who has never been at a reach disadvantage. I think he'd knock Crawford out too. Too big, long and powerful

Does Crawford beat Jacobs? I'm not sure

BJS 2.0? Again, I'm not sure

Tell me when GGG has ever gone on a four year KO drought vs cherrypicks like Clenelo has? He was a walking KO machine and possessed power Crawford has never seen in his life.

Do you think Crawford would be describing Mean Machine as a harder puncher than GGG had he fought both?

'Ola Afolabi said to Sky Ringside “I think it’s going to be a knockout. The guy [Golovkin] hits incredibly hard. I’ve been in the ring with heavyweights, cruiserweights, light heavyweights, and I get in the ring with this kid and every time he hits me, I say whoa!''

Ryan Coyne (former CW now LHW)

''He’s a ****** beast,” said Coyne, a 20-0 cruiserweight prospect who has recently dropped down to light heavyweight. “He’s been running guys out of here. Nobody under 175 pounds will spar with him.''

“I’ve sparred with heavyweights who can punch, including Mariusz Wach and Mike Perez, nobody has hit me as hard as Golovkin. His power is out of this world.”

''I spent my summer up in Big Bear training with Gennady Golovkin who is emerging as the most murderous puncher in the boxing. I watched former champions, light heavies, cruisers, and even heavies get sent home.''

    David Imoesiri HW

“The dude can hit, I’m still getting used to it,” said Imoesiri, who like Coyne, is delightfully bright and articulate. “It’s crazy. I sparred with [undefeated WBA heavyweight beltholder] Alexander Povetkin and he never hurt me like this guy.''

“I must have done 50 rounds while in camp with Povetkin and it was three and half weeks before he hit me with something that made me hold on. With Golovkin I was ready to get out of the ring 45 seconds into our first round of sparring. He hit me with two lefts to the body in the identical spot and had me doubled over. I got through it but it’s hard to defend against 6-inch punches with that much pop. He backs me into a corner with just a jab.

“And it seems like he does it effortlessly.”

''The guy hits like a hammer. I tried everything, but it did not work. You have to give him credit, because he had a good handle on the situation and it was an honor to meet him in the ring. Even though I lost every round, I wanted to fight on. [Early on] it seemed to me that I was resistant to punches, but eventually they caught up with me. For each subsequent start, I went out out with another plan, trying to surprise him, but he is really great," Proksa said.

"I have never felt that type of power anywhere, not in sparring or anywhere."

    --Grzegorz Proksa

What a crock of ****. Janibek has done NOTHING to suggest what you say is true. Nor has he faced the competition to show that. Jacobs, win or lose, has faced better and gave close fights.

Floyd, GGG and Cotto would likely be placed as at least 50/50 chances. I like Cotto's chances more than people gave Errol, and that was about 50/50 as far as pre-fight consensus.

    Kovalev was big.

    Bivol would win.

    Jacobs could box.

Trout would get into the middle rounds at least.

Shane at prime would be in the mix too.

Plenty there that would give TC something to think about.

Crawford possibly beats anyone he prepares for. Until that is proven false, there isn't an opinion that can be state that gets me to believe he would gets washed by anyone, including the guys on Canelo's resume.

Addressing the version of the fighter at the time Canelo face them, I don't know any of them to be out of reach for it to at least be a competitive fight.

Kovalev is a big guy, but he was old when Canelo got in the ring with him. His jabs get lazy coming back, Crawford would fight some openings to make him pay for his slow extensions.

GGG would be a tough match up as he was solid and probably the only opponent of Canelo that has a stronger chin than he. Crawford backed Canelo up with volume and accuracy. GGG never did anything extravagant, but he was precise, solid, and strong fundamentally. That plays in to what Crawford does well, big question would have been, how does Crawford respond to his power. Well, I had the same question for him vs Canelo, and Crawford handled himself pretty well in that aspect.

Lara would be my favorite match up given the styles and IQ. My prediction would be a close one with who ever can control the tempo of the fight, wins the bout.

Bivol, in my opinion would be the fight Crawford possibly comes up short on. Bivol, though not the most athletic, but does position himself so that he could neutralize the offense, no matter how aggressive so he can apply his own offense. Strong and durable.

Plant, Smith, & Saunders I think get outboxed by Crawford.

Same Canelo that cleared out SMW. Canelo dropped most of his skills after Kovalev.

Bud went up in weight as his body matured and he had a new target at the next division. It had NOTHING to do with him not believing he could beat any Middleweight.

The statements made on this board is beyond idiotic and hypocritical sometimes. Crawford came into the pros as a lightweight. When would you say he was in his prime?......after the Gamboa fight......after the Postol fight........After Jeff Horn.......when.......because you are suggesting that he fought an Indongo/Beltran/Porter/etc...... because he felt he couldn't compete against Lara or Charlo or GGG.....individuals that were 2/3 division above where he was competing at.

Y'all aren't consistent on the ridicule that y'all give to Crawford. Crawford was said to be too small for welterweight and super welterweight......just a year or 2 ago. He bulks up to challenge Canelo.....y'all claim he's in over his head, there's weight classes for a reason...... Crawford goes in and imposes his will on Canelo....... Canelo is shot, a shell of himself (how is that when he's holding all the titles of the division is beyond me)........now we are pushing that Crawford was a weight bully.....but in the same breath, he wouldn't be able to compete with anyone Canelo beat at 154/60/68..........it's downright weird how y'all go over and beyond to discredit everything he does.

I guess he's just a business mastermind.... To fight nobody for 42 fights and gain so many accolades.... How is it that you favorite fighters weren't able to find the same loop holes to at least accomplish half of it?
