Even though he starched Manny in one fight, I still see Manny as the superior fighter

I had JMM winning 3 fights with 1 draw.

The 1st fight had a swing round I think round 8 or 9 ? Which could decide who the winner was. But JMM definitely won 7 or 8 rounds so for me it's a either 113-112 JMM or 113-112 Pacquiao.

The 2nd fight again had another swing round late on in the fight that could decide the winner for me again its a 1 point fight either way 114-113 JMM or 114-113 Pacquiao.

The 3rd fight I think Pacquiao looked the worse in overall and I don't really see an argument for Pacquiao winning it in all honesty. I could see a draw but I don't see Pacquiao winning 7 rounds no way so either a draw or a JMM win.

Marquez won the series, even if not officially.

Pacquiao won the first and second fight narrowly. Third fight was a draw. Fourth fight JMM won it big.

Shows how great Pacquiao was that he fought his stylistic nightmare 4 times.

Pac won the first fight. 2008 and 2011 fights are closed but I have Pac wins.

Agreed. Pac had the perfect style for JMM to thrive on his counterpunching but still managed to make all of their fights close and competitive. There's really not that many fighters who are willing to give their stylistic kryptonite 3 more fights afterwards. Pac could have easily just moved on and not give JMM more chances after the second fight but he still fought him a few more times anyways. Just shows how great and fearless Pac is.

Yup. People were saying Pac "handpicked" JMM when he fought him at welter because Pac had more experience there. Total BS. Pac was a very small welter.

Pac hadn't lost an official decision to him and fought him a fourth time when he had no obligation to. Probably just the competitiveness knowing that he never really bested JMM.

Course yes. While the draw in the 1st is fair (title defended by JMM), Pac should've been DQ'd for hitting him while his glove touched the canvas. At least penalized 2 pts and that's a JMM W. Marquez clearly won 8 rnds in 2nd and 3rd fight, obviously separated Pac from the Man in the 4th. Pac don't hold no legit win over JMM in 4 fights and the latter clear is the superior fighter.

I have the series 3-0-1 or 3-1 JMM cant remember if I had fight 1 a draw or a win for Pacquiao. Fight 2 was close but I always felt Marquez narrowly took it. I really don't see a case for Manny at all in the third fight

Funny enough I actually felt Manny was having his best performance in fight 4 despite the knockdown. I had him ahead on points and he was starting to get to Marquez before getting clocked

    My feelings:

Fight 1: Pac by a few points. I thought he was hard done by here.

Fight 2: Marquez by a point (I think) Nothing particularly controversial about this one. I just gave it to him.

Fight 3: Marquez 116-112. I thought JMM was jobbed here.

    Fight 4: KTFO 6.

Both great fighters. Obviously Pac much better overall resumè but I feel Mr Marquez was just his foil.

Interesting to see the varied, and expected, points of view.

    Thanks.

Demonstrates that whilst many boxing insiders had JMM winning all four, albeit 1st and 2nd very narrowly, they place Manny higher all time. I can understand why. He took on so many legends.

Based on losing these 4 though if you see it that way, throw in Floyd, Morales 1, possibly Hussein (a little controversial for some), Horn, draw to Sanchez, Sangsurat L, Torrecampo L, it reinstates the fact you can be a FBHOF with multiple losses and rightfully so
